It's not gonna be on the stage very long tho, presumably. Snorlax takes up most of the screen in Melee, and it didn't grind the game to a halt.

I wonder if Final Smashes stop moving levels from moving? I'd imagine so, otherwise this would be pretty inconvenient on Donkey Kong's level...

Lol now if they have Peppy's voice come over and say that for appropriate stages, it'd be one of my fave final smashes =D

So I just woke up, checked Japan Tiem, said to myself "Man, that is f**king awesome!"...

And then realized that my best friend (and the only one who plays SSB) moved to the other side of the country last month.

Very Sonic/Tails don't you think?
Actually, a more appropriate example would be Kirby's Super Star on the SNES.

It's a shame they're not doing 4P co-op but I imagine that would get too crowded.

While this is indeed radcakes, my insatiable hunger now demands online co-op.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I really enjoyed Melee's adventure mode.  BUT I found myself many times playing it and wanting to share the experience with some of my friends.  Finally, Brawl brings that to the table...and it is perfect.

1)Co-Op playing is often times more enjoyable for teaching new gamers how to play the game.  Or even Vet gamers that just don't get off on VS mode.

2)It extends the value of the Subspace Emissary by making it replayable with friends and with various difficulty levels.

BEST...UPDATE...YET!

Not just for co-op (an idea I had a while back) but perhaps this means that two Nintendo characters will always be journeying together anyway, hence why you can play co-op mode.

SSBB now has online play and a promising single player mode which trains you in how to play online multiplayer.

This, my friends, is the proper equation for a Halo-killer. As much as I hate to admit it, I like Halo's method of having a single player campaign which preps you for the multiplayer and tells a decent story.

If the story mode can provide some blatant Nintendo fanservice, with Pit and Mario teaming up, Link and Yoshi teaming up, etc. then this should be the single player mode which is finally good enough to rival SSB's awesome multiplayer mode.

It would be most awesome if this story mode could be co-op online, but I doubt it.  Tho, I do think it would be easier to do that than a fighting game.  Lag isn't as big an issue.

Well it definitely looks that way, with groups of two meeting up with each other...(So say, you are a group of two, you meet up with another so you have 4 characters to play as...)

I wonder if unlockable characters have a part in the Adventure Mode, outside of unlocking them that is...

I said it because I remembered the picture.

And I'm guessing that characters will be unlocked as you find them in campaign mode.

It would be interesting if you unlocked villain characters by defeating them, or maybe even "corrupted" heroes.

I really love this screenshot

http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/gamemode/modea/images/modea07/modea07_071005c-l.jpg

Not just because Mario's about to get a rocketing air bubble up his butt but because hes actually looking at it. If they add that head and eye turning feature to all the characters, it would make the game so much more convincing to me. One of my only little kinks about Melee was that  alot of the characters seemed to have a glazed over kind of look, almost robot like. I noticed it especially with Mario. Im not sure if it was something weird like the size of his pupils or something but he didnt seem to have any emotion. I'm really pleased with the models in brawl so far though, especially Mario. Huge Improvement IMO

A little off topic I know, but was just something that came to mind

So, a week or two ago, I totally thought out that Adventure mode would be multi-player, and that the second player would have some kind of super-jump.
I was thinking back to our Kriby games, specifically the SNES two, and in both Super Star and Dream Land 3, there was a second player option that featured similar characteristics.

I actually expected either Gooey to return or that Sakurai would create a second player, though, and not have the second player be the back-up for the stage.

Now, I'm going to call it here, but I predict a mode where four players race through an adventure stage to collect power ups hinted at here, then duke it out at the end.

Also, I predict that since characters can gain strength in adventure mode, there will be downloadable new difficulty levels that basically give the computer players a handicap and add in tougher enemies.  Also, Co-op will be available to play online, as well.  That's my guesses.
