Mine shouldn't be too obscure since it was recently released on Virtual Console and appeared in one of Bloodworth's videos. Here are a couple of others I almost used before I remembered that I already made the one I'm currently using.

Pfft. I think "semi" is just the lower limit for obscurity, not the upper one so people aren't going to argue "but that's not obscure!". I think we had fairly obscure ones during the 8bit month.

EDIT: Party Bear, the left one looks like some kind of Super Shredder but what's the right one? Assault Suit Valken or something? Looks a bit Zaku to me but lately everything looks Zaku to me.

The left one is Kamaitachi from Ninja Warriors, a beat 'em up featuring cyborg ninjas with such creative names as Ninja and Kunoichi. Those two aren't very interesting, being the Big Guy and the Fast Girl, but Kamaitachi has scythes on his wrists, which makes him cool.

The other one is the Nitro suit from Metal Warriors. See? There's a THEME. It was an awesome mecha game by LucasArts. The Nitro was the best suit in the game because it had a light saber.
