Topic: Anyone had problems buying NTDOY?

Hey guys, I think there may be one or two other stock jockeys on the boards, has anybody attempted to buy some Nintendo through Pink Sheets and failed lately?

I had the problem a month or two ago and according to my trading company there was a cease trading order from Reuters, based on some kind of fraud allegations (not within Nintendo, I think it's one of the middle men between the Japanese stock exchange and ours).

Anyway, my concern now is that maybe it's my own trading company that is not allowed to purchase more Nintendo.  I want more Nintendo, darnit!  Does anybody know anything or have you purchased NTDOY successfully in the past two months?

The complexity of trades with non US companies confused me and so I have absolutely 0 shares of Nintendo.  Now had I bought shares at $20 when I first thought of it I could be doing pretty well with what I would have invested... however that may not always be the case with foreign stocks and the fees etc from what I understand.

I have NTDOY stock, but I was barely involved in the purchase.  I bought it last May, 88 shares, I think.

I had an account at the local Edward Jones branch in my hometown, and I told the guy to buy as much as possible with however much money was in that account.

That's about all I know of it, honestly.

I had a problem buying stock as well. It was a couple months before the Wii launch and I tried using all this investment money that I had in the bank to buy stock in Nintendo. I couldn't get it to work for some reason. So after trying 5 or 6 times I quit.




I shouldn't have quit.

Yeah, I'd love to buy more, but I just can't!  Oh well, thanks for the input.

This recent downturn in the North American stock markets is a lot easier to handle owning some Nintendo.  Every other stock on my watchlist is down, down, down, meanwhile Nintendo just went up another 3 or 4 dollars!
