Given my track record, I won't ever talk about Mother 3. Just give up already, it's like trying to raise the Titanic.

I think... MoH MAY have options to play it with actual aiming, as in... no cursor... or at least that's a possibility when they say MoH will be designed specifically to accomodate it.

Wow, loads of "oh-boo-hoo-we-didn't-saee-a-new-smash-trailer" hate-o-raid being guzzled today. What's up with that?

For what's arguably their biggest hardcore title of the year, we just expected a little more of the limelight. It was nice to see a short gameplay segment, but a new character? Some details about online? Anything that expanded on what we already knew?

I agree the Zapper was a jip.  If this is the way Nintendo is going with the Peripherals count me out.

Which can expand the life of the Wii farther then just its typical lifetime.

Its because it is to late in the year.

Which is ironic because E3 is a hardcore event at its core.

The Zapper is just as big of a piece of junk as the steering wheel is.  The steering wheel is just a round, plastic case for the Wiimote with a trigger installed to reach B with it on.  No big deal, you already own one of these is you got one of those Ubisoft racers.

There was a new character in the trailer.  His name is Donkey Kong.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Oh, I forgot vudu - thank God Donkey Kong is in there. I've been missing him in the last two games.

You know, this E3 felt like it was really target at devs.

"We're expanding the industry, and that's good for everyone."
"Non-traditional gamers are a growing segment of the market."

All of that talk translated to "make games for the Wii/DS or you'll get left out."

I think you could argue that the peripherals are the same deal.

"Look at all the stuff you can make your games with."

Also: the first thing I thought of when seeing Wii Balance Board was "I wonder what kind of games they could make using the Board and the Wii-mote (and the gun or wheel attachments)?"

You could use the gun and the board like Time Crisis games (the foot pedal to crouch) or use it to dodge.  You could use the wheel and the board to simulate gas and brake pedals.  There are a lot of options.

Although I am not yet sold to buy a wii zapper, I don't fully agree with comments in the podcast about buying a wiimote for $40 and $20 for a nunchuck and then buying the wii zapper for another $20. Too normal gamers, we just need to cash out $20 more since the wii mote and nunchuck already came with the system. So unless you need to buy another zapper then that is the time we do the math of buying a wii mote, nunchuck and zapper.

Ghost Squad can potentially support up to 4 players cooperatively... so there COULD be an $80 price tag in there somewhere.
