I was thinking more along the lines of the sword Fierce Deity Link had, but the Biggorn Sword is not bad at all. Perhaps the Great Fairy's Sword as well.

I thought that sword was only carried by young link?

Also, different weapons doesn't entirely mean differents swords....Maybe Fire Arrows? Or Hookshot?

Well sure it was only carried by Young Link, but it is a kick ass Zelda sword and I see no reason to leave it out.

Hmmmm, Fierce Deity.....The outfit is VERY befitting of Soul Calibur. Maybe a special attack will see Link stop, put on he mask, turn into the Fierce Deity, and beat the living sh!t outta everyone.

Um where you been man, he has both of those. His alternate costume is the goron tunic which IGN recently unveiled..and right now on IGN's front page they have a hands on article with some movies. One is a link vs. link battle. At the beginning where it has the stage name it says "Legend of Zelda" and it has the Overworld theme song playing in the background...although it's hard to hear with the japanese people talking and such. But you can clearly tell it's the zelda theme.

Seeing the GCN commercial for Soul Calibur 2 made me wanna tear my hair out to see if I'm awake.  What an awesome game.  The first Soul Calibur was just awesome and I was interested in seeing this new one, but with the inclusion of Link, I will definitely buy this.  It just gives me goosebumps everytime I watch that commercial.

Does anyone else here think that the PS2 version's exclusive character lame.  Tekken was a cool game, but I just think that they could've gotten a better character for the PS2.  Maybe Hotsuma from Shinobi, or Dante from Devil May Cry, or Rikimaru from Tenchu.  I just think that Heihachi isn't the best character for this game.

I have that game, and thought it was one of the better fighters despite its primitive ~1996 graphics.

Sucked? I think your in the minority on this one Rick. While it sucks by todays standards at the time Soul Edge/Blade was a very good fighting game. It had some features that even Soul Calibur lacked, It had superior endings and different weapons for each character. Besides the graphics Soul Edge/Blade's biggest flaw was the ease at which you could knock your opponent out of the ring. As long as you could keep it in the ring long enough for good fight Soul Edge/Blade was very well done.

That's just it, though, the theme is called "The Legend of Zelda" (notice the music note before it when it shows up in the video), that could've been triggered by playing a Link vs. Link fight, or even just randomly when at least one Link is fighting. I'm not sure the stage itself was LoZ-inspired, although it could've been (did look just a little like Melee's "Ruins"), and even if that one doesn't, he does probably have one that is.

Rick you must have played the psx version of soul edge...the arcade version kicked ass. Me and my brother spent countless hours playing as cervantes and the crew at out k-mart arcade. I was like ooh the weopons make glowingness....
