I think it was 13 tapes, with a nice double-panorama pic created on the side of the box when they're stacked together.

Well, I guess I'll have to watch Haruhi Season 2, but I don't have the time yet, because I'm currently watching Toradora. It's really funny! On my list are the following: Code Geass season 2, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Naruto, One Piece, K-On and many to mention... haha ;D Bleach, on the other hand, I dunno why...I got tired out watching it, though.  :-\

I prefer to buy DVDs after seeing the fansub, for great titles such as Kill The Spambot with Hentai Tentacles.

So am wondering what everybody is watching these days. I haven't watched many in a while.

One Piece - As always heheh, and the manga keeps getting better.

Major - I just watched the Movie, and it was enjoyable, but the tv series is where it's at.

Detroit Metal city - Finished watching tv series, and watched live-action movie which was sick and Gene Simmons of KISS fame was in it like O-M-G-!

Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas - Hell Yeah! I can never get enough of Saint Seiya. This story revolves around the sacred battle that happened before the most recent sacred battle.

Asura Cryin' - I have fun watching this series. There's boobs, mechs (well they're not really mechs but whatever), demons, it's the 2nd Earth to exist, and many other crazy ideas in the world.

07 Ghost - It starts really slow, but it gets a little better. Although I still don't like the character's yaoi-ish looks and personality sometimes, I do like the concept of the world.

One Piece! Get the funimation dub! and soon this january there will be a flood of the manga to catch up with the japanese releases!

More people need to enjoy this ultra fantasticly written and drawn story. Not a single love story, or emo anit hero around to ruin anything! Get this, no one dies and then comes back to life ala every comic book known to man! If someone died, then they died. If they didn't they didn't! And usualy they dont...

It's such a great epic story, that really feels like its moving forward instead of the usual bad guy of the week type thing, and everyone is miraculously stronger than the guy before. The forshadowing is unrivaled! Only Oda can introduced an unnamed character in like chapter 19 and then 10 years later in around chapter 500 reveal that that guy was a major player!

And everything has an explination! Your never guessing how a character can do what, or why they did this or that! In the one piece world everything has a scientific explination! Alright enough of my praising One Piece. Someone else get hooked!

If it's more than 2 seasons long than it isn't worth the $$$ to spend collecting the entire thing.

Too long for its own good.

One Piece is too long for its own good? LOL. In 400+ episodes, and 500+ chapters, I have never once said, or felt that Eichiro Oda was stretching the series, or making up a lot of filler like many other series out there that have done 100+ episodes.

I just watched the first episode of Shangri-la. It looks really good, and it envolves some kind of post-apocolyptical Earth, and it's lush with forests and whatnot in the ruins, and then there is this anti-govermental group called Metal Age, and there's this enterprise that taxes the nations for their production of Carbon (Dioxide I suppose), and there's this girl with a metal boomerang kind of like that kid from Mad Max 2, and, and... I really enjoyed the first episode. It's a mix of action, political intrigue, and ecology.

I'm going to check out Sky Crawlers at the library this week in anticipation for the upcoming game. Has anyone seen this? Is it 'safe for the family'? I want to know if I should be concerned about my little sister watching if she gets interested.

*chuckle* Pirates in it? The show is about a world in a Pirate age. He starts out in East Blue, they enter the Grand Line, and now they are almost reaching the point of entering the New World. Each section get's crazier, and crazier.

I can "wax" other series too, but One piece, and Eyeshield 21 (manga ended and I was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO") are the only anime worth doing so from me.

Do not watch the episodes if they are from 4Kids. DO NOT! Burn them on the spot if you have to.

Stratos he isn't kidding! Do NOT do NOT  do NOT watch the 4KIDS version! Only funimation or some fan subs.

It has a very cartoony exterior, almost disney like, it looks completely unique to any other comic. Some characters look like silly characatures, and some look ultra bada$$, and they mesh well together! Even Micheal Jackson, and Jim Carry, can be found in the story and they are great!

One thing that i've always loved about it is it can go from being a full on comedy, to full on drama, to full on action, and most of all for me, its a fantastic adventure! You'll see or read an arc that can go from super silly to ultra serious at the drop of a hat.

Last thing i'll say, that may or may not convince some of you. One Piece is the spiritual successor to Dragon Ball. Only thing is Oda still loves his work, it shows, and there is no power levels! Lets not talk about Doruki Caliban, hahaha.  Once power levels were introduced, Toriyama pretty much reduced everything to only Goku can win with a higher power level.

It's funny how I never gave too much importance to the Doruki of several characters, no one of the Mugiwara cared either.
The New World has no place for Doruki to be mentioned. You're either powerful, or not, and if you're not you will not survive the New World. We haven't seen Doruki being referenced after the Enies Lobby incident, so it just means that Oda wanted us to learn that for the Mugiwara all that matters is to be strong enough to help their Nakama when in need.
The only thing that matters is their Haki.

Is that where that whole "It's over 9000!!!" thing came from? His power level?

It's what one of the characters said in reference to Goku. You see, he had this monocle device called a scouter which gives them life readings, allows them to comunicate between others with a scout, and is capable of giving a reading on someone's power level.
After the Freeza saga there was pretty much no mention of scouters, or power level reading from scouters, so it's mostly the community of anime watchers that hype such quotes, see:

DBZ pissed me off.

It had a lot of potential and I fucking love Vegeta; he's the ****. But then the directing or whatever just ruined it for me. Why does one fight have to take 10 episodes? I understand suspense but this is ridiculous.

Anyway, they should make a new series with just Vegeta. As for One Piece, I saw up to the clown in the first season and lost interest. It was decent .

I was disappointed with Death Note's ending. I read the manga, and decided not to watch the anime because it could be boring. Then someone pointed this out to me: Take a potato chip, and eat it!

I haven't watched Dragon Ball Kai, but I've heard that they basically compressed the battles and filler scenes to a more reasonable duration.
