Lazy Town: Can the Wii hook this Killer App?
« on: April 20, 2007, 07:00:20 AM »
I read a post touching on this at NeoGAF, and I wanted to share it all with you guys! Evidently... LazyTown is in "talks" for a Wii game!

Quote

Toys, costumes and books already bear the LazyTown name in many countries. Live tours have been franchised in Britain and Latin America. Talks are under way with Nintendo to create a video game for its Wii console, which features a motion-sensitive controller. Internet projects are also being mulled.

Read the source article here!

OMG! This would be AWESOME.

Not only would this totally pwn Europe, not only would it pwn the young child demographic and use it as a trojan horse to get parents and other non-gamers into the Wii, not only would it completely pwn pedobears the world over...

BUT IT WOULD PWN CRAZY INTERNET OBSESSED HYPER COLLEGE STUDENTS!

Serious, I know a guy who's all like:

"Yar har diddly dee! If you like to sail the seas YOU.ARE.A.PIRATE!"

And then I'm all like:

"You gotta do the cooking by the BOOK! You know you can't be LAAAaaaAAAZY!!!"

Bing bang DIGGA.RIGGA.DONG.

... ohhh yeah.

So... uh... that's all. This would be a neat game to see come out, and though I don't watch the show, I am VERY tempted to buy the soundtrack.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Oh yeah, this is DEFINITELY one major guilty pleasure for many 20 somethings.

Its hard to deny the show does have a weird charm and appeal to it. Its like you want to look away but can't.

Why I think that could be fun it makes no real sense.  From the Wiki I thought that Lazy Town was all about getting the kids away from Video Games and TV, and having them go out and play.

Unless the game is going to be about moving all around. Kinda like Wii Sports for toddlers and pre-schoolers.

The Wii is the only console this makes sense for because it could be used to actually get kids to move around a bit.

When it came to a LT game, the Wii is the ONLY choice.

I don't see how a video game that tells you to turn off the TV and go outside is so much weirder than a TV show that tells you to turn off the TV and go outside.

The game takes longer.

In the Wii case you can't even take IT outside and play it their because the Sun would mess with the Wiimote.

That show couldn't be creepier even if it tried.

Change the girl to look like a hardcore Goth and being happy like that would do it.

Cool a game based off a show for toddlers and NeoGAF pedophiles that'll probably be PAL exclusive with crap distribution! Killer APP!

Good idea.

All that damn yellow glowing ball does is make it harder to drive. Why didn't we get rid of it years ago?
