Now the SNK man was referring to creating virtual console games with online features.  He was specifically comparing Microsoft's policy of updating classic games with online functionality and achievements.  While Nintendo keeps virtual console games as straight and classic as possible.

Which makes me think that online vc is coming because the SNK guy said Nintendo told him not until '08.  So that's more good news that kind of got glossed over.

Godzilla isn't worth taking online.  Nintendo says so by recommending its free family friendly (the TRIPLE F SLOGAN) friend code system for online games.

(Refering to SNK) That part of the piece was about the VC so it is only logically that they were talking about that. Which is logical since then Nintendo can limit the number of games that are internet capible so they can work and unseen bugs out of the system because getting a bunch of smaller games crawling through the network.

As for Pokemon I can't wait, though me growing my little pretties in the Japanese version is akin to a myopic squiril trying to collect nuts across a busy street.
