Taking all bets!
« on: March 14, 2007, 03:42:37 AM »
How long do you honestly think Pap can go without referring to ro mentioning Smash_Brother in one of his posts? Honestly it feels like every single one of Pap's posts has something to do with S_B, one wondrs if S_B even needs to post, why not just let Pap post all his thoughts and reactions?

Oh...my bet is 3 days.

Three days seems like an awfully long time considering you feel "like every single one of Pap's posts has something to do with S_B."  What's your angle, bub?  You trying to work a scam here?

Dasmos is just bitter because no one steps it to supplement his arguments.

...8 days.

Yeah, but Cap's pretty wildly opinionated.

When he gets to hatin' something, changing his mind takes years.

1up was already on his sh*t list, but since they bashed Super Swing Golf in the Tiger Woods review, he's likely to hate 1up and TW07 by association because he's so pissed.

OK, you guys wanna know why I mention S_B so much?

Here, I wrote an essay about it:
An essay on Smash_Brother

While many learned professors have abandoned hope of ever discovering the truth behind Smash_Brother, I for one feel that he is still a worthy cause for examination. At first glance Smash_Brother may seem unenchanting, however his study is a necessity for any one wishing to intellectually advance beyond their childhood. While it has been acknowledged that he has an important part to play in the development of man, he is yet to receive proper recognition for laying the foundations of democracy. Often he is seen as both a help and a hinderence to those most reliant on technology, whom I can say no more about due to legal restrictions. Hold onto your hats as we begin a journey into Smash_Brother.

Social Factors

Society begins and ends with Smash_Brother. Back when Vealinger reamarked "the power struggle will continue while the great tale of humanity remains untold" he created a monster which society has been attempting to tame ever since. Much has been said about the influence of the media on Smash_Brother. Observers claim he irons out misconceptions from our consciousness.

When one is faced with people of today a central theme emerges - Smash_Brother is either adored or despised, he leaves no one undecided. Just as a dog will return to its own sick, society will return to Smash_Brother, again and again.

Economic Factors

Economics has been defined as 'I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine.' To my learned ear that sounds like two people with itchy backs. We will study the Spanish-Armada model, a classic economic system of analysis.
Interest

The statistics make it clear that Smash_Brother is a major market factor. It goes with out saying that interest cannot sustain this instability for long. Strong fluctuations in investor confidence have been seen over the past two financial years.

Political Factors

Politics - smolitics! Looking at the spectrum represented by a single political party can be reminiscent of comparing Smash_Brotherism and post-Smash_Brotherism.

It is always enlightening to consider the words of nobel prize winner Odysseus Woodpecker 'You can lead a horse to water, big deal.' Primarily, he is referring to Smash_Brother. If Smash_Brother be the food of politics, play on.

One thing's certain. The Human species liberally desires Smash_Brother, and what's more human than politics?

Conclusion

How much responsibility lies with Smash_Brother? We can say that Smash_Brother is both a need and a want. He enlightens our daily lives, 'literally' plants seeds for harvest, and is always fashionably late.

I'll leave you with this quote from Courteney Hendrix: 'I would say without a shadow of a doubt: Smash_Brother ROCKS!!!

Some of these are profoundly true:

"At first glance Smash_Brother may seem unenchanting..."

Yup, definitely.

"Often he is seen as both a help and a hinderence to those most reliant on technology"

Again, spot-on.

"Smash_Brother is either adored or despised, he leaves no one undecided."

Once again, eerily true. I really don't leave people on the fence.

"Observers claim he irons out misconceptions from our consciousness."

I run a podcast which tries to do this, but I think a lot of this essay is the "horoscope" phenomenon where making the suggestions vague enough will allow anyone to relate it to their own lives.

And some of these are just damn hilarious:

"Society begins and ends with Smash_Brother."

"The statistics make it clear that Smash_Brother is a major market factor."

"...comparing Smash_Brotherism and post-Smash_Brotherism."

"The Human species liberally desires Smash_Brother,"

"Hold onto your hats as we begin a journey into Smash_Brother."

That last one just sounds uncomfortable...
