Idea for saving extra Miis
« on: March 10, 2007, 08:51:43 AM »
Constantly playing around with the Mii channel? About to reach the limit but don't want to delete the extra Miis? I thought of a solution I missed (and probably many have).

The Wii controller can save up to 10 Miis, right? Well, if you have 4 or more Wii-motes, you can use them to save the extra Miis you don't need but don't want to delete!

I honestly forgot that the controllers can save Miis. Thanks to that, I was able to save a ton of Miis.

I've started doing this too, actually... I ran out of room long ago, so was wondering how I could keep Miis around, and fell back on this.

However, I think there may be one drawback (and maybe someone can confirm/deny it)...
When you move the mii off the console, I wonder if its Wii Sports record will be lost. I've only tried it so far with people who don't have any record, or likely won't be around anytime in the near future to play again.

I checked that. I tried replacing an existing Mii with one that was saved on the controller and the records were intact.

But haven't checked what happens when you erase a Mii, then place it back from the controller.

Records don't travel with Miis. I suspect you'd lose the records if you do this.
