Kororinpa and Wing Island pushed up!
« on: March 07, 2007, 05:36:00 AM »
The story from WiiNintendo

Looks like they got the memo that there's a drought and need to push more games up. Isn't Cooking mama being released on the same week?

Here Kororinpa is already available but if I were to spend 50€ on a game this month I'd probably add another 10€ and get Final Fantasy 12.

I expect low scores on the NWR reviews of both games.

Infernal says the game is lots of fun (short, but replayable), and I trust his opinion far more than any angsty NWR (or other gaming press) review... =3

Which game?  Kororinpa or Wing Island?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I'm really looking forward to Kororinpa.  It looks like Aaron will probably be doing the review.

LOL!

Not just NWR, but from many publishers who dismiss the games as being gimmicks and don't understand the controls.

Ummm, well Wing Island was nothing more than a tech demo in it's first inception. Nobody has high hopes for that game, and everything I've read anywhere reflects that.

Yep, Kororinpa is lovely. <3 Short but oh so sweet. I've still only unlocked 75% of everything despite finishing it days ago!

What the hell are you talking about? Wing Island is a game by Hudson, not related to that ABSOLUTELY AWESOME Wii Airplane demo at E3 that i'd kill to play.

I, too, am looking forward to this game. The good that looks good, I mean. Not the other one.

But who made that tech demo, though? Was it Nintendo or Hudson?

I am also surprised Nintendo didn't take that demo and turned it into a full game.

Nintendo. Did anyone else even watch the vids? It had Miis jumping around when the player went close to land, and the game looked absolutely beautiful. I thought it was going to be in Wii Sports, but it's probably being saved for Wii Motorsports or Wii Sports 2 or whatever the next one will be called.

I'm definitely getting Kororinpa.
I will skip Wing Island because I really want some good old dog-fighting action...Heatseaker to the rescue *whispers*hopefully*/whispers*.

I do, because I actually like to play video games rather than complain about them.

YES! I'm getting both of these!

Kororinpa because I hear good things about it and because I skipped out on Monkey Ball at launch from all the bad things I heard about it...

And Wing Island because I want to see non-violence in action. Or inaction. Or whatever. I'm getting that game out of curiousity and academic reasons.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!1111

Ahem.

I think you should buy Okami, instead. Your education demands that you learn about the use of traditional art styles in interactive media.

Are you trying to promote premature arthritis via use of the WORST. CONTROLLER. EVAR. or what?

I'll play Okami if it comes to Wii, as I'd actually very much like to try it, but I couldn't stand to do it with that god-awful PS2 controller.

Stop harassing people into buying the games you like Wandering; let Kairon buy games that look good to him.

The PS2 controller is bad but it's not THAT bad. It only hurts you if you play very intense games and Okami definitely isn't one. I've finished it with 0 deaths and 0 emptied stomachs after 37 hours with two pink tree and three green tree ratings in the end. Healing items are too abundant. If there were zero healing items except for the stomachs the game would be a fair challenge but as it is you can carry several hundred points worth of healing items where each point is comparable to a heart in Zelda.
