I wanted to set up a closed circuit televevision.  But I wanted to do it as cheaply as possible.  As such, we have a mini-dv camcorder that isn't of the highest quality, and I have a 20" tv that I will end up replacing in my houshold.  I only want to transmit the signal approximatley 20' away.  My question is could I buy some wires and get this connection going dirt cheap(with existing equipment) or is the only way to set up a CCTV network to buy one for at least $1000 from what I've been looking at?
