As soon as someone says they are in the industry, I could care less what they think of anything.
You write? Well that's great. Doesn't mean your writing is coherent or insightful or remotely interesting.
You play lots of games? Again, good for you. Doesn't mean that when you open your mouth, the scribes write your musings down as law.
You have a brain? And a mouth? Or even a keyboard? Well, don't just use them like they're running out of fashion. Like most of the internet, you're probably spewing out rubbish at a fantastic rate. Think of open mic night at the Improv and its a decent approximation for the interest that others have in you.
They're called opinions for a reason - they don't have to be backed up with facts or even rationale.
Now run along to Myspace and complain to your friends. Or even check out your local EB, they'll be happy to sell you a PS3 hear your thoughts.
