I heard that only the new pokemon are in the game and all the old ones arent in it. plus you cant trade old pokemon in the new game so you can never get the old pokemon in r/s.

Making this the official thread for all questions on Ruby/Sapphire.  - Bloodworth

This isn't true. Go to pokemon.com or pokemongames.com and read about it there. I actually havent got the game yet because its not released here yet, but I am heavily waiting for it.

There's a few old ones in the games but that's it. And you cannot trade with past versions.

Since its the Oficial Help Thread ill ask my question:

How do you get the second evolution of Nincada.  The one with the halo.  The strategy guide said you must have 5 pokemon with you or less and atleast 1 Pokeball.

Help would be nice.

So do you know how, does mine have a glitch or something.  I had a Poke'ball in my inventory then had only 5 Pokemon with me including Nincada, then when it reached lv.20 it evolved.  But instead it evolved into Ninjask. What's up with that?

Huh? That sounds like a weird way to make a pokemon evolve...

Well, I finally got it.  Keep at least one open slot.  Nincada evolved at level 20 into Ninjask, and the shell became Shedinja which only has 1 HP, but has an uncanny ability to avoid attacks as well as a heap of attack power.

So you have to wait for it to evolve to Ninjask. oh.

Ive been doing everything right but just turn off the game when I see Ninjask's form.  Thanx. Tho my Nincada has been low level to my Party Pokemon.

Does Shedinja stay with 1 HP. And if so which attacks can Shedinja avoid, hes pretty cool that he can avoid attacks, but which ones.

I haven't leveled up Shedinja yet, but it didn't get hurt at all until the fool got confused.

Shedinja stays at 1 HP FOREVER.
Mines currently level 65 and still has *1* HP.

Only being able to be affected by 5 types (Dark/Fire/Flying/Rock/Ghost) Is a *HUGE* advantage, just be careful though, cause that pidgy with peck could take you out in one turn.

Which fossil you choose is up to you...

I suggest beating the elite 4 first before you choose, because the Champion uses both of their final stages.
Armaraldo (Bug/Rock) Is the Claw Fossil
Cradily (Grass/Rock) is the Root Fossil..
Fight against them and see which one you would prefer

I tried putting him to sleep but i think the powder doesnt work in the rain. Has anyone caught him yet and what methods did you use?

I have ruby, but i was lazy in catching Groudon and just used my master ball.

If you want to catch him normaly, Try putting him to sleep or freezing him. Sleep and Freezing increases your chances while paralizing doesn't, I think.

Hey I am trying to catch kyogre and have decided to just use the master ball. The question is where is the master ball? I heard it was in team aqua's hideout, but when I went there it was gone? did it change? Can I still get the masterball?

I finally got my Plusle and Minum to breed and lay an egg.  Does anyone know what will hatch out of this egg.  I assumed since both were electric type that a Pichu would result.  Am I warm?

One of the prizes in the Lilycove city lottery is a master ball.  That and the one hidden in the Team Aqua/Magma hideout are the only ones I know of.

Do NOT use your masterball on Groudon/Kyogre.

Better saved using it on Latios/Latias or Rayquaza when you get to him.

Paralyze does make catching easier, just throw a few more ball's, i have bad luck catching pokemon, but i managed to catch Groudon, and the 3 Regi's without using masterball, just took some time.

If you breed Plusle and Minum, whichever one was the mother is what the baby will be.  To get a pichu, you need to breed a female pikachu (found in safari zone) with either a Male pikachu, or some other compatible pokemon (i think)

You get a master ball in the team magma/aqua hideout, and if you have *all* digits correct in the lotto, you can also get one there.

I had extremely good luck in catcing kyorge i got it down to alittle HP then i caught it with onle Ultra ball so now im gonna use my master on Latias.I heard one guy who tried 20 times with an ultra ball to catch kyorge, just get him weak.  I didnt even have to put him to sleep, or anything, i just have strong pokemon, though he used that one move to kill aton of them but i used revive and eventually caught him with 1  ball.
