Welcome ba-

NO WII!?!?

Who are you and what have you done with the REAL Uncle Bob?

Wii better be on top of that shelf...

That's cool.  Though is there really much point to having both to having two NES or SNES systems out?  You're only going to need to play one at a time.  Though they look nice so if you have the room use it I guess.  But once the Wii is added I'd put the SNES and top loading NES on the same shelf and move the duplicates to storage to make room.

Looks more like UncleBob is using that as a display, not as an actual gaming setup...

You mean aside from the fact that it's in a glass case?

I think the quality of the picture is throwing me here...

The rings in the middle of the picture seemed to be handles to what appeared to be a glass door on the display, but I notice there are no hinges so that would indicate that they're actually part of the spine of the stand.

But yeah, they're on display because there are no wires running to any of it. I'd actually guess the Wii is next to his TV somewhere.

I should have pointed out the lack of handhelds, though, if he wants a REAL Nintendo shrine.

Bah!  Having those consoles merely on display is a waste of space.  A SNES is a worthless hunk of plastic if you are not using it to play Super Metroid.

I have so thought about importing a Japanese Indigo Game Boy Player.

Anywhoo, this is an A/V stand you can get at Wal*Mart for about $80.  No glass doors.  Right now, the systems are not hooked up, and thus, no wires hooked up to them.  I'm waiting to get my Wall Mount mounted for my new TV in that room in order to get everything connected.  Also, my Wii is in the other room with the TV - it'll go on the top shelf.

As for the duplicate systems... They're going to be hooked up, but they'll pretty much just be there to look cool.  It's all because of the NES - since the front loader has the better A/V jacks and is more familiar to the random Joe on the street, I wanted it there, but the top loader is cooler and more reliable (not that I generally have too many problems with my front loader)...  since I couldn't decide, I comprimised and went with both.  And since I have both SNES, I did the same there.

Now, all I need is a Pikachu edition N64....

In a box, since it won't (normally) mount to the GCN with the GBPlayer on it.  The monitor will probably end up in the closet with the battery pack as well, since it really doesn't look right on the shelf.

Wait, this isn't the funhouse... damn.

Well, anywhoo, that thread is for rooms that are finished.  Mine's still very much a work-in-progress.

But check it out!

Giant Tetris!  It's hard to get a good picture, since the room is so dimly lit and the TV is so bright, but if you look to the right, you'll see a hanging Wii Controller to give you an idea of the size.

And for fun - NWR makes the bigtime!
