Sports, Play........what next?
« on: February 13, 2007, 07:11:32 AM »
I herd a rumor over the internet about a Wii Fitness game. I think we will be seeing a lot more games with "Wii" at the begining of these titles. I think if more of those titles come out, we will safely be calling it a franchise. I think this is a good way to use the Miis. Allthough some people wouldnt call this a full game, I think it is a way to get 20$ games on the market (if you dont put a controller in). There are tons of possible "little games" they could make in a package!

There's Wii Health, which is the rumored Fitness game and Wii Music, which is the drum and conductor demos from E3 06.

"Wii Motor Sports" was once mentioned, but probably dropped as there wouldn't be much variety, even with different vehicles.

That said, I hope they have more to Wii Music than just conducting and drums.  But I'm not sure what.  The Wii Remote would make for a really awkward bow for a string instrument, or any sort of pipe instrument like a flute.  And it's not big enough to be a guitar.  Then again it could be a really big "pick" for some air guitar.

They need to stick a Wii fishing game in there somewhere!

And I'm also seriously looking forward to a Wii Music collection. Let's see... conducting (which in truth can be a game in and of itself, like that PS2 game), drums ... uh... violin... trombone (with nunchuck?) ... one man band (with nunchuck and hardcore use of buttons?) ... SAMBA DE AMIGO!

of course I am.....Besides, who would buy a fishing game

Now, people would buy an adult Wii game, but the chances of it being worth anything is very slim.  The adult themed games that came out on xbox were very hyped and didn't do very well.  Lets just face it, porn and video games just don't go well together.  It would have to have a humor tone for it to do fair, other than that...no

I would buy Wii Fitness.  I love the idea of Mini Games that are designed to be fun, and excercise the body.

Wii Wars would be awesome...or rather Mii Wars, but there is no way in hell Nintendo would create this game...unless it was like Mii Paintball Wars or something.

Wii Sports Online of course will happen.

Wii Motor Sports could still happen.  You can have a jetski game, Airplane game, simple racing game, and hey they could recreate the tank game from WiiPlay with more options, and possibly vehicles.

Wii Tournament, where the Miis are all converted into normal sized, gritty-looking soldier types in a bloody deathmatch arena.

I'd buy it.

There's fishing in Wii Play, but it doesn't sound very good.

And my dad, who doesn't like video games but likes fishing, prefers Ocarina Of Time's fishing to Twilight Princess.  At one point, he knew how to turn on the N64, load up my file, play the song that warps you to Lake Hylia, and make his way over to the Fishing Pond and then fish.  That's pretty impressive, for a guy who only likes Dr. Mario.  But fishing in Twilight Princess?  I think he has trouble steering the boat.

You know, I haven't even tried much fishing in TP, especially not in Lake Hylia.

Motor sports could be remote controlled cars ala RC Pro Am.

Well, in Twilight Princess, just like in Ocarina of Time, you'll want to go to the designated fishing pond area.  Many people thought the fishing was bad because they didn't even get to try out the rod with the reel that's only at Hena's fishing pond.

However, me and my dad still prefer Ocarina Of Time's.  It's tiring to use that reel!

Not to mention that Fishing in Ocarina is much easier... fishing in TP for newbies is like banging your head against the wall.

Fishing in TP is so infinitely better than the fishing in Rapala that it defies all logic.
