SD card copying error?
« on: January 30, 2007, 11:29:45 AM »
Sorry for posting this here but didn't see much discussion/info in the technical section.

I just literally bought my wii last sunday (finally found one!)

Its patched and everything but I'm not able to copy any of my internal system save games onto my SD card.  It gives me a "system files are corrupted" error.

I did a bit of searching and it seems like there's a lot of systems with SD card reading/copying errors even after the patch.  Anyone else found this problem and found ways to fix it without having to return/send it back?  I can't even save my zelda onto my card =\

Well, so much for never having a problem with my nintendo systems...

Well first off it can only write to 2GB maximum cards, though it can read from cards bigger. (At least 4GB.) The other thing is that some SD card has to be initialized first before the Wii will even talk to it.
Stupidity is lost on my. Then again I'm almost always lost.
