Topic: NWR Dashboard (OS X) Widgets

I was bored tonight, so I downloaded Apple's public beta of Dashcode, a program that lets you make OS X Dashboard Widgets. It's crazy easy, and I actually made two. The first displays the last 20 headlines from the site's RSS feed, and the second is a streaming player for our Radio Free Nintendo podcast. For those of you on OS X (10.4.3 or later), you can download them here:

I dun have OS X. I don't like OS X.

But seriously, these look to be some cool applets. I'll see how easy this is to make using Superkaramba and perhaps make a KDE equivalent (as that's my primary desktop these days).

EDIT: I've modified an existing RSS applet to display NWR data - its not as pretty as the OS X widgets yet. If anyone's interested I'll put it up for download. I'm going to work on the streaming media player in the meantime.

The RSS one looks real sharp! You should put a link to this somewhere on the frontpage. I'm sure people other than the ones who read these forums wouldn't mind having these available for download.

thank you. some of the others are rather fond. i do tend to make friends easily, but what exacly is this all about?
