The Überquote Project V2.0
« on: January 16, 2007, 09:04:11 AM »
A while ago on another forum, I was browsing its off-topic area when I beheld the Überquote, a quote quoted so many times, the original message wasn't even displayed. I figure this would be a good place to emulate it, and months ago tried my hand at it. It failed. But I'm giving it one last try.

The premise is this:

1) After this post, I will make another post that contains one simple sentence.
2) Someone else is to quote that post WITHOUT ADDING ANYTHING ELSE. No pictures, no extra text. Just quote the thing.
3) Someone else quotes that quote, once again WITHOUT ADDING ANYTHING ELSE.
4) The process of 2 to 3 repeats itself until the Überquote achieves a total number of quotes of infinity+1. What is infinity+1? It's when the forum can take no more.
5) There shall be no step five.
6) Get to it.

UPDATE
We had a shaky start, but now the Überquote is alive and kicking. All of you who contributed have my thanks for aiding me in this glorious undertaking, but the job is not yet done. To victory!

UPDATE 2/5/07
We are besieged on all sides by enemies who create mockeries of the Überquote to throw us off, and our own soldiers have grown weary. It takes only a second to aid us, we have come too close to fail now!

You already tried once and it failed.  Why bother trying again?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I was aware of my previous failure. See this line in my original post:

As for why I'm trying it again, I'm stubborn.

Why don't you just quote yourself a bazillion times instead of trying to get us mixed up in your crazy schemes?

Mods don't smile on double-posting, why would they let me quote myself a bazillon times? Besides, that would ruin the Überquote's infinite majesty.

Response to first sentence: So?
Response to second sentence: You wouldn't dare.

And Arbok, Alas, can't you people do something right for once? Only IceCold so far has actually followed orders...

You did it wrong. The correct response is "That's dumb, Stabby. Your dumb, Stabby. Stop dumming everyone, Stabby."
