Maple Story DS Trailer

Maple Story DS via Kotaku

Color me not surprised.  I hope Kotaku is wrong.  I played a little of the PC version but I couldn't deal with the keyboard controls so I abandoned it.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Isn't this just a level-grinder?  I don't think lolis are worth hours of grindi...(Oh shi, that could have turned out bad!)

I'll wait and see how impressions are before even thinking of getting this...

You know, the funny thing about this game is that for a while now, I have kind of fantasized about Maple Story being made for the DS, and now it's happening

I have this recurring nightmare where I'm trapped in a game of Space Invaders.  Only, instead of aliens, there's a swarm of cutesy DS RPG's descending on me.  No matter how fast I shoot at them, they just keep coming in relentless waves.  They all follow the same pattern (left to right, right to left), but no matter how many of them I destroy, they always wind up crushing me under their collective, giggling girth.

I think I might be crazy...

Not just flowers,I love them all like weeds and     veget

I wonder if this'll be as grindy as every Korean MMO or if they'll decide that handheld games need a different balancing?

I can't remember my MapleStory password...and after all that grinding I did!  >_<

Sorry, I didn't read the details, if MapleStory can or can't interact with PCs.  There need to be (more?) games where DS gamers and PC gamers can play against each other.  I don't know why, I just figure it might be cool.  I guess then the world in MapleStory DS would be really populated by the first time the first owners of the game turn it on.  Or that no matter how bad MapleStory DS sells, it won't perpetuate bad sales based on low population since there will always be at least the PC version players.

Come to think of it, are there ANY multi-platform online games that play against each other?  Maybe Final Fantasy XI between PS2s, PCs, and Xbox 360s?  I don't really know, I don't keep up with MMORPGs all that much.  I never did like the pay-for-play system, I mostly tried out MapleStory because it's (or it was?) free.
