My Wii is DEAD :-(
« on: December 17, 2006, 10:15:26 PM »

Okay, my Wii after owning it for 4 days has died... It won't read Wii games at all!! It comes up with an error message and makes a TERRIBLE sound as it tries to read the Wii discs...

However the menu/channel area loads up normally and it plays GameCube games fine... I am supirsed that it continues to play GCN games but not Wii games, what could possibly be wrong? :-(

Yeah, I tried both Wii Sports and Twighlight Princess and a friends Wii Sports disc and all of them did not work. It was making the strangest noise trying to read the discs...

But what I'm most confused about is the fact that my Gamecube games played perfectly. That seems really odd to me.

I have, since then however, rang Nintendo Australia, and they were really good and told me to send the console back and that it will be given top priority and the process of repairing/replacing that usually takes 10 days would be cut, as, according the the lady at Nintendo, it is the first Wii that has been sent back to them in this country, and also said it would be back before Chirstmas. Weird, but hopefully all turns out good and I'm only Wii-less for a few days...

So Australia doesn't do the deal where you give them your credit card number, pay 5 dollars, and you can keep your Wii why they ship you a new one.  Which you then use the box to send the old one back?
Need a Personal NonCitizen-Magical-Elf-Boy-Child-Game-Abused-King-Kratos-Play-Thing Crimm Unmaker-of-Worlds-Hunter-Of-Boxes
so, I don't have to edit as Much.

Ah, no they don't. That sounds great, I wish they did that. When I rang they were even sure they had a Wii around to replace it with if needed, as demand was so high... But she discovered that there were some lol.

I am missing my Wii... and starting to worry that I'll be Wii-less for longer than expected....

Nintendo Australia doesn't like monkeys either apparently.

Especially those of the infernal variety.

Lol yeah heard about his problems... Woah, I hope Nintendo Australia don't stuff me around like they are to him.

Nice avatar by the way, I just started playing that game again in the absence of my Wii.
