Since I couldn't find a thread I made one. Picked this up today as a co-op game to play with friends. I like it so far, but the menu system is a little overly complex. I wish they just would have put pointer ability in the menus. Anyone else have it?

I got it at launch. It was the first thing after Wii Sports that I and my cousins played, and they had a blast. They keep wanting to play it again when they see me (after Wii Sports of course...).

We're only like... 2 levels in, but I'd agree with you. It seems like a very complex menu system to dig through, and just makes me want to get back to the action faster.

Bought, played it, loved it. I never got either of the X-Men Legends games, so this was a new experience for me and makes me regret having not played the other two at the time. I really hardcored this game during Thanksgiving break, beating it three times so that I could unlock everything.

Overall, I really enjoyed it, but then I love Marvel and action RPGs so it had a lot going for me from the start.

Hopefully the next one in the series is built better for the Wii (ie, graphics that don't look like what the GCN port would have if there was one).

Besides the graphics and the camera control, it wasn't too bad. Lots of characters and costumes for each.

Are we talking about the same game here?
Sure your not talking about the GameCube version or something? cause when me and SB and a few of our friends tried to play it were could only put up with it for the first mission before the camera drove us completely crazy. In fact we were looking around at other friends to tag us out so we could stop playing it. I don't even get car sick but I was getting ill with the god awful multiplayer camera.

Even the single player mode wasn't anything special. I guess if your a big fan of Marvel it might be worth putting up with.
We had alot more fun playing the Justice League and Teen Titans games.

In the end felt that it was the biggest waste of $6 and SB was even thinking about taking it back that night and trying to get his money back. This game made me trust reviewers even less, no one once made reference to how bad the multiplayer mode was.

You besmirch your namesake, Capamerica!  The camera works like this: tilt the nunchuck left, camera turns left. tilt the nunchuk right, it turns right. Hold the nunchuk straight and upright the game controls it. I'm guessing one of your friends wasn't keeping his nunchuck straight.

BTW, Teen Titans was dull. Like last three ninja turtles games dull. :P

Well I had my name before Marvel started sucking, I've been using it since the early 90's.

So inorder to have a working camera we had to keep our nunchuk hand completely straight, thats just plain stupid. You would think that with the option of 2 different camera modes they could have included one that just followed the players and didn't relie on some one locking their arm in place.

I still say its was a awful game and that Teen Titans was much better. Sure Teen Titans was corny but so was the show.

I think the Wii version is good despite it being flawed in a lot of areas. And sadly it does feel like a port rush job with graphics ever so slightly better than PS2/Xbox/PSP versions. But never-the-less the multiplayer can be fun but the menu systems are just too awkward for their own good. And the nunchuk controlled camera is a blessing and a curse; on one hand you dont need to move your hand from any buttons to a second analog stick like the other versions(PSP doesn't apply obviously) so you can still concentrate on the action while on the other hand it can be a problem if you dont like holding the nunchuk fairly straight.

I enjoy it. Menus are non-intuitive. I gotta say, menus are quite terrible. Sometimes I accidentilly sell items and there's no way to get 'em back. But I like how you can move your skill pts around (generally, I just put all my pts into the most powerful or useful skill). I never played any of the previous X-Men games, so this was pretty fun. I wish there were a way to change ALL characters from automatically assigning skill pts and items. You have to go in and change that for each character.

I like that you can tilt the nunchuck to rotate the camera. Occasionally, I'll accidentilly be tilt it, but the more I play, the more I get used to that and like it.

I kind of wish I could use buttons instead of Wiimote actions, but you can assign one power to the A button, so I didn't have to do too much swinging.

Overall, I enjoyed this game. It's fun for multi-player and you can skip the story if you so desire. When you finish it, you unlock hard mode. It's not perfect, but I like it.

I didn't like it.  A total cookie cutter hack n slash game.  Just not interesting.  The first boss was so lame.  And the Wii controls in this one are lame too.  Very generic random gestures representing buttons.

Boring game.  YOu can have fun if you're with  friends, but I'm not sure that says anything about the game.  IT just says hanging out with friends is fun.

I have to give it a thumbs down.

btw, the best thing about the game was the camera control unless you're playing with a 5 yr old.
