I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to change the Miis' pants color.  I'd imagine it is, as I've seen a couple Miis with different pants colors, I just have no idea how to do it, other than to make the Mii a "favorite," though this always changed the pants from black to red.  If anyone knows how to choose other colors, please share here.

Thanks for the great special guys!

Yep it is possible to change the Miis Pants color.

Red Pants = Favorite
Blue Pants = Transferred in (Parade, from controller, whatever)
Regular Pants = You made it but you didn't favor it.

So far thats the only colors and those are it.

Thanks!  I was hoping there were more colors, as I just made a Dr. Venture Mii and wanted to give him pink pants to give him his "onesy" but at least I know now how the different colors come about.

I just want to say that I figured out how to bowl a Strike everytime, but I'm not telling. There is a sweet-spot and you can exploit it. How you hold the remote, when you release the B button and where you place the line have to be the same everytime.

Here is a tip, you can control spin without twisting your wrist. If you hold the at an angle before you throw and and hold it at that angle throughout the swing, exactly like bowling striaght, you will get the exact same curve everytime.

_ = wiimote at level. Hold here before and during swing to bowl striaght

/ = wiimote at slight angle. Hold here before and during swing to bowl with slight hook.
angle of wiimote will determine amount of curve.

| = wiimote at extreme angle. Hold here before and during swing to bowl with full hook.

That is part of what you need to know to bowl a perfect 300 game.

Since NoE calls it a secret (you get that message when clicking the "." news entry in the shop channel): Clicking the Wii Shopping Channel headline (top left corner) in the shop channel you can return to the welcome screen.

As far as i know it is a trick, but maybe it's not.

In the Photo Channel, when you select the Fun! option viewing a pic, a black cat appears on the upper-left corner. Catch it with the wii-mote, and it will tell you some tips about the Photo Channel.

Also, within the Internet Channel, you can play some flash games. That's quite a bonus for the console, cause there are thousands of flash games that can be played for free. Point yor Wii web browser to wiicade.com or other flash portals (like newgrounds.com) to play some cool games. As a bonus, here's a link to a very well done Duck Hunt port playable on Wii: http://www.tripletsandus.com/80s/80s_games/swf/duckhunt2.swf

Necropost FTW.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Well apparently this feature is one of the most visited pages on our site, so I'm not surprised that it got a comment two years later.  If anyone knows of more recently found tricks, please let us know so we can update the article!

Wii Maintenance Mode

Hold - & + buttons while the safety screen shows after powering on the console. This puts the system into 'Maintenance Mode'. The message board is disabled while using this.

Revert to 480i - Either plug in a composite cable or do the following:

Power on Wii, give it a few seconds to boot
- Hold DOWN on the directional pad of the Wii remote
- While holding DOWN, press the RESET button on the Wii

The Wii reboots and the screen settings are back to default. All my other settings (wifi, console name, etc.) were intact.
