Virtual Console wish list thread
« on: December 04, 2006, 01:19:38 PM »
Well, I know we've had these before, but I want to do something a little different.

What single game would you like to see for the Virtual Console that actually has a chance to show up on the VC?  And by having a chance, I mean it has to have been released in your territory and has to be owned by one of the company who has announced that they will be doing VC releases (Nintendo, SEGA, Hudson... anyone else?)

Here's my pick:
vs. Super Mario Bros.

I would *love* to see the one released in a form where I could actually play it now...  Granted, it was an arcade release, but since it was released on an NES-based arcade cabinet, I don't think it'd be too hard for Nintendo to pull off.
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

Contra (Konami is supporting the VC in Japan, so I assume it means we'll see their games in America, too)

Wave Race 64 is WAY better than Blue Storm.

I would like to see Goemon Mystical Ninja (the one for N64, never played the others). Does that game have a chance of coming out for VC?

Goemon has a good chance in Japan a meh one here... though I'll flip if the SNES one that made it to our shores does.

Super Mario Kart-- they would kill with longtime gamers if they had this out
Pilotwings 64-- shame there's not a Wii version
Sim City 2000
Aladdin
Super Strike Eagle
some Donkey Kong Countries.

It might be interesting to try out the first Madden game.

Goemon is the official theme song to Nintendo World Report (and anyone who says otherwise is a sour potatoe). I demand both N64 games and the SNES original, because all three were released in the US.

This game was great and I look forward to playing it again.  I was a big fan of summoning the spirts to help out and solve puzzles.

Games I've never played and want to:

Super Mario RPG
Paper Mario
Uniracers
Kirby's Dream Course
Super Punch Out
Gunstar Heroes (I thought this was supposed to be there ON DAY ONE.)
Multiple Castlevania games
NiGHTS (Long shot, I suppose, but it sounds so fun)

Game That Is So F*cking Amazing I Would Re-buy It At Full Price:

Super Metroid

Uniracers would actually make a great DS/Wii game, I wonder why Nintendo hasn't taken advantage of it yet.

I'll be keeping a look out for a few virtual consol games, but other than the obvious I'd like to see:

1. Earthbound (if they're going to keep putting Ness in smash bros games they should let people know where he's from)
2. Mario RPG (I borrowed this off a friend and have wanted to play it again for quite some time)
3. Kirby Superstar.. or allstar or whatever the title was... (same deal as Mario RPG)

I thought I read somewhere that it was the I Am Impact song.

Armak: I'm still waiting for Nintendo to make another Kirby game as good as KSS.

I'd love the Adventure of Lolo I, II, and III to come out.  I started playing them on an emulator last month, and they're really good puzzle games.  I never played them back in the day.

No way you'll ever be seeing that game. Nintendo didn't even finish it. The ROM dumps were completed by fans and released to the wild. I'm pretty sure SF2's swan song was SF: Command, which bears large similarities. But on that same note, I'd buy any Star Fox Nintendo wanted to throw at me. If they want to finish up SF2 as a VC exclusive, I'll sure as hell buy it.
