Do you know how many people a day ask for this where I work?

At least they're asking for it...

I'd be all like, "Sir/ma'am, I have to ask you to refrain from profanity or I'm going to have to call the manager."
"OK, first we need someone to complain about something trivial. Golden or S_B should do. Then we get someone to defend the game, like Bill or Mashiro. Finally add some Unclebob or Pro666 randomness and the thread should go to hell right away." -Pap64

Hmm, so are they afraid to say "whee", so they say the initials? "Dubya-Ah-Ah"

Earlier today I had a co-worker come over to me and ask me about the "W2". After a second or two, I realized he was talking about the Wii (he walked into a conversation me and another co-worker were having about the PS3 and specifically how she's having a ton of trouble selling the 2 PS3s she pre-ordered on E-Bay).

I've heard "Vii" and "W2".  >_<

(I just realized that "double you" + I + I is like two instances of "you and I" which is "we".  But there's two.  I dunno.  Weird.  >_> )

While waiting in line at Walmart on launch day, some little kid wondered over and saw this big line of people sitting around and asked one of the nearby employees if we were in line for the w eye eye. I could see an older adult saying it, but a young kid you'd think would be up on things. We laughed.

it seems that people just haven't seen those glorious "Wii Would Like to Play" commertials, or at best they didn't realize he actually said Wii and not We.

One of my teachers yesterday just called it a "View", luckily this teacher was only a Audio/Video teacher.  However I had a Pop Culture teacher last week get into the Wii, she apparently already played it with her family and loves it.
