GBA SP and GameShark

I was just at the gameshark forums, someone posted that the gameshark does not work with the SP. I mean I have the GBA SP  in Black , and gameshark. So far the only game that doesn't seem to work with it is Advance Wars. All my other games work fine, (ex, Zelda, Metroid, etc.). Anyone else experience problems? I hope nintendo didn't put a chip in the new GBA SP, then I have to go with the action replay.

If that's true then I am a little sad. I guess I might have to play my game without cheating. THE EVILNESS!!!
