If you look for the Wii cables on store.nintendo.com, you'll get this message

Orders entered prior to Wednesday, November 22, 2006 will be shipped in the next couple business days. Orders entered on or after Wednesday November 22, 2006 will ship when our new quantities arrive (week of December 18, 2006)

Awesome news, since I ordered mine either on Sunday or Monday. Just wanted to let those who ordered when they were sold out and saw the recent 12/18 message that they may be in luck.

Update, if u order on or before the 22nd the cables will be shipping on the 28th, otherwise the week of Dec. 18th.

I inquired about the cables I ordered on 11/15/2006. This inquiry was made BEFORE the update to the store web page. I just got this response today.

11/15 is before 11/22 so I don't know what the deal is.

I sent another note to try and clear up the two different responses.

woo. My component cables shipped today, check your order status. I ordered mine on 11/15. UPS Red = Delivered tomorrow.

Now the waiting game for my Zelda Guide + Soundtrack begins.

Hmmm. It's the next day and it still says "preparing order". Of course, it's only 7:26 in Nintendoville...they must not be open yet.

I ordered on the 20th but mine still says "backordered" DOH! I wonder if it makes a difference because mine will be shipping from Nintendo Canada?

So I ordered mine on November 22nd, however, on the order page it says they are preparing order and I even have a UPS tracking number. Guess there were a few left over for those of us that ordered on the 22nd.

Mine still says "Preparing Order" and I ordered on the 18th. It has said "Preparing Order" for the last two days now. I've had something similar happen with another retailer, and it still said the the order was processing when I received it - so it is now just wait and see.

Mine still says preparing order - I called NOA and they said everything should be fine with my order. I did next day shipping though, so I would assume I would have gotten it today, especially since I received a separate UPS order (my $15 2GB SD card from buy.com). Here's to hoping for tomorrow! I've read there's a really bad snow storm in Washington though, and a recording on NOA's phone line mentioned this, so there might be some delays because of this.

I got an e-mail from nintendo sometime since Monday (at least I think, too lazy to go look) saying that mine have shipped.

my shipment tracking says I'll get them on the 4th of Dec. I chose the slow shipping so anyone ordering the faster shipping will get them days before me.
