I still have never walked into a store and seen a Wii sitting on a shelf.

Don't worry, demand has already dropped to ZERO and this thread will have nothing to report.

I'm surprised Wii doesn't have a SALES CHARTS CHANNEL.  It'd be more fun than Zelda.

A PS3 sales chart would be more fun than Killer7.

The Wii will hit a dead end sales wall at 21 million because all the GC owners will have already bought it and no one will be left.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Nah, it will stop before that because each Nintendo console sells worse than the one before. So this one will probably do 15 million at the MOST.
is your sanity...

Nintendo's producing them too fast then, a critical error. If they had produced them slower, they could've stretched those 15 million of sales out over the next 1.5 years that the Wii has left to live before the bubble bursts.

Wii Fit will sell more hardware than Halo 3.  The Wii has 4 potential killer apps...Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros Brawl, and Wii Fit.  Wii Fit will barely outsell Mario...but it will sell more systems than HALO 3.   Yes...the force is strong with that prediction.

Holy crap how did you know that about Target?  I was just there yesterday and saw them as well.  The one in Natomas off Truxel Rd also had a ton as well.

Holy crap how did you know that about Target?  I was just there yesterday and saw them as well.  The one in Natomas off Truxel Rd also had a ton as well.

Dude, I was at that Target after i got off work to get toilet paper.  But I always check the important sections of the store on every visit.

My apartment is a 20sec drive from Target's parking lot =D

"Wii Fit will sell more hardware than Halo 3."

I could see it happening but I can't help but wonder when a Wii Sports 2, which could be an even bigger seller, is coming out.
I thought for sure Nintendo was going to throw it together in a year's time to make it the big non-gamer AAA title of this holiday season.
With Wii Fit supposedly delayed to next year, it seems like Nintendo's holiday line-up is almost STRICTLY for real gamers.

Then why don't you just walk!

Hey, fine by me!  But seriously, I think a few of the casuals will try their hand at Mario Galaxy and even Brawl though.

I think Nintendo is working on making Wii Fit the next big game, and then Wii Sports 2 will work with the Balance Board and the Wiimote.  Oh yes, that says killer APP X 2.  And if people did not buy Wii Fit, then they can buy Wii Sports 2 with the Wii Fit Board.  Allowing for Nintendo and 3rd parties to know that every Wii will have the balance Board or two at home.

"Wii Fit will barely outsell Mario"

Worldwide it might due to Japan's love of non-games but I think in North America Mario will sell better.  The west still likes the gamer games.  Wii Sports' popularity is partially due to the activities in those games being fun stuff North Americans like in real life.  We like to golf and bowl, etc. so a game that simulates the experience better than any other game is going to attract attention.  But excercise?  That's work.  I don't think it will have the same appeal.  In Japan non-games that could be considered educational software like those language teaching games are popular but they haven't even been released here.  I imagine Wii Fit will be huge in Japan and will underperform here.  Wii Sports 2 however would sell huge as would sports games that use the same controls but are expanded to use real leagues and players (ie: MLB licenced baseball game, PGA licenced golf game).

I see it differently. I think Wii Fit will be HUGE in America... but once buying it, people won't actually use it much as they are too lazy. It will be doomed to the same fate as the exercise bike sitting in a lot of American's garages...

"I see it differently. I think Wii Fit will be HUGE in America... but once buying it, people won't actually use it much as they are too lazy."

I can't believe I didn't realize it sooner. THIS is why Nintendo delayed Wii Fit.
Around the holidays Americans get fat then come New Years they all make those resolutions to get in shape. That's why gyms get so many new members at the start of the year. If Nintendo releases Wii Fit in the first quarter it can capitalize on this phenomenon. This may be the only "game" ever that could be more successful if released in the usually dead first quarter than it would be if released in the holiday season when we're all stuffing our faces with turkey and cookies and making coat racks out of those old exercise bikes we bought last January.

Still I wish Nintendo had SOMETHING for the non-gamers this year. I mean how hard would it have been to throw together a Wii Play 2 if nothing else.
