But either way Wednesday #'s won't go away, they will just be rounded off like they used to be way back when, kinda like Famitsu #'s.

XBox 360 had the largest sales increase last week - it almost sold as many as PS3. Sony should REALLY be scared.

Two Words. Trusty Bell. Though everyone had an increase over last week just not 199% like the 360 who was one of the only ones to have an increase the week before as well. If MS can keep this sales level with slight increases they may be considered viable. Though the chances of that happening is very slim.

How is it that the DS Phat is selling at 0 a week but the original GBA model is selling 24 this week? I can understand the Phat one is completely sold out by now, but shouldn't that have also long been the case with that battery sucking, non-backlit, GBA? Or are these sales figures of used units?

Chozo, as far as I know, those are new units being sold. Those original GBA's have to not be in production anymore and are probably sitting in some clearance bin next to the PS3's and the 360's.

I'm really looking forward to next week's sales to see if Xbox 360 surpasses PS3. You know Microsoft would be all over that shite if it happened. my post is a train wreck should have a price drop in Japan for the next month or so (saying they should, not saying they will), I bet they'd beat Sony if they did.

Yeah it looks like Japan may end up a one horse race. Not only in the hand held market but the console market as well!!
If that happens it's a safe bet that certain Japanese developers that have been almost exclusive to Sony for years now will be jumping ship - and FAST!!
Even if the Wii does eventually face harder times in the US market, its dominance in Japan is going to turn the gaming industry as we've known it for almost a decade on its head.

I know FF:XII RW hasn't been in the top 10 for a while, so the free data doesn't supply the sales numbers. But, does anyone know what the LTD sales of Revenant Wings are?

As far as SE support for Wii... We've already got three games. Dragon Quest Swords, Final Fastasy Crystal Chronicals: Crystal Bearers, and Chocobo's Dungeon: Labyrinth of Forgotten Time.

Support as in FF: XIII or XIV and Dragon Quest X is only a matter of time. I can't speak for SE, of course, but for the moment, I'd guess that SE is giving Sony the benefit of the doubt. I'd imagine, though, at maximum, that the doubt will only last till the end of fiscal '07, if x-mas sales don't seal the deal.

As of May 23rd, FFXII RW had sold 445,000 copies. It had sold 23,000 that week. If we assume it dropped 30% each week, then with the last 4 weeks, it has made about 486,000 copies. It's probably made more than that but that is what I come up with by the law of averages.

Wow... Nintendo is outperforming Sony as a WHOLE and not just their games division?

But then they blah, blah, blah about how it's not a sign that Sony is doing poorly... but that comparison is based upon Sony as a WHOLE, and not just their games division. Comparing Nintendo to SCE would be the real picture, and that picture is beyond bleak for the PS line right now.

As the bearer of bad news. That won't happen unless there is even more of a sells urge for Wii and the PS3 sells like the current Gamecube sells.
