I beat it. 33 hours. 13 hearts. 22 poes. One single bug. So I'm not done, not even close, but I beat it.

ZOMG, Midna's a BABE. I'd so hit that. Too bad she had to destroy the Twilight Mirror and make me very sad so I can never go see her and find out! The end battle was alright, but Wind Waker's end battle reigns supreme in my mind. And I agree that Ganon either shouldn't have been involved at all or given more attention earlier in the game. Zant was a fine evildoer, especially with the mental breakdown and all. I would have liked to see them play that up more earlier in the game. Although, I did want Ganon to die very badly when he emerged from Hyrule Castle with Midna's broken helmet in his hand. In all, I was satisfied with the ending.

And true or false: Midna was about to tell Link she loved him before leaving him forever, but instead said, "See ya later".

Most decidedly true.  One of the (subconscious) signs a woman gives that she's attracted to a man is habitually touching him.  Midna was all over Link throughout the cutscenes.

I didn't find Midna's new form that hot, but that's just me.  Maybe I'd gotten too used to her as a sorta cute imp.  Despite being a useful partner and more knowledgeable of things than Link, she still seemed more like a child.  So it's like she was a tough little girl that suddenly became a woman, and that seemed a little wrong to lust after.  It's kind of like Princess Ruto in Ocarina Of Time.  AWK-WARD!

Or then again maybe not.  AndrAIa in ReBoot became kind of a hottie after she grew up quickly.  Why does this only happen to the tough little (yet inhuman) girls?

Now, Zelda in this game...she is FINE.  Link should hook up with her, but it's probably Ilia he cares about.

Dude, All sorts of Agitha love here... I even mentioned how much I like her twice in this thread alone if memory serves.  My perfect TP poster would be Agitha Slightly leaning forward with her umberella over her shoulder behind her on her left and Midna floating around on her right with the TP logo in the lower left corner filling in the empty spot.  Yep that would be it.

Funny how Agitha gets away with the whole crazy adult-child thing and Tingle doesn't.  Or are we all Tingle fans too?

I'm only on the fourth dungeon after 31 hours, but I've got 14 Poes, 1/3 of the bugs, and, I don't know, 11-16 heart pieces?  I'm glad I'm taking this one slow, I actually have a chance at 100% completion (usually I have so much left to do after I beat the game that I lose interest).

Agitha = Cute
Tingle = Scary

Theres your explanation.

I do enjoy the randomness that Tingle brings.

Plus Tingle is a full middle-age man and Agithat is either in her teens or almost in her teens.

Agitha = fully formed good looking woman in a dress.

Tingle = short chubby little man in a spandex suit.

Does that clear things up?

Anyhoo... Tingle returns, albiet in a hidden way.  Examine closely the host of the STAR minigame in Castle Town.

Personally I find Agitha's full form makes her even more creepy.  She's like some kind of psycho where Tingle is just a cartoon character thrown into the Zelda universe.  Not that I'm complaining about either of them, I like weird characters.

Psycho?

SHE JUST LIKES BUGS!  I recall being enthralled with insects in a similar manner as he back when I was younger, and.......Well I guess that doesn't really help my argument, but still!

In scanning the unspoilered parts of this thread, I find myself so grateful I've only just beaten the second dungeon. So much to look forward to yet. I do have one question:

Will Kakariko be repopulated before the end of the game? Just yes or no, please, no details.

Madcat, I thought the same thing I'm pretty sure it's Ninty's way of intentionally teasing the Tingle-haters. Look at his outfit, and how, when you first go in for the game and get his introduction, it's all dark. The silhouette looks a lot like Tingle, and then the lights go on and... NOT TINGLE! I chuckled at that. NICE ONE, guys, inside jokes FTW.

I think Agitha is whimsical.  Thats why shes my favorite out of the TP Girls.  Much like how Luna, especially when I had imagined her as a Brunette, is my favorite from the Harry Potter bunch.

Eeew.

Though supposedly Jessie (from Pokémon) is 12 years old.  Yeah...no.  12-year-olds don't have developed bodies closer to someone twice their age.  And Team Rocket has shady practices but child labour isn't one of them.

Okay, question that I forgot to ask so long ago...I never noticed that there was a shoe-shine guy in Castle Town until AFTER the snobbish shop converted to the Malo Mart (Castle Branch).  Was he always there?  Does that mean I could've entered the shop before the conversion, and was there anything good in there?

I could have sworn that James and Jessie were officially teenagers...

As for your question, shoe shine boy is just there as an added easter egg...The store before Malo Mart opens is a hilariously expensive shop with a snooty shopkeeper...

Oooh, thanks.  I'll have to check it out.  Thankfully I have three save files all for myself at the moment (before my brother starts playing).  Of the two "extra" ones, one or both of them are probably early enough so I can see how it was before.

I avoided following a walkthrough for this game, though I did look up a few Poe Souls and Golden Bugs.  Most FAQs were incomplete anyway.  But for all walkthroughs, especially for long games, there should be a section for "One Time Only" or "Limited Time Only" things.  I wouldn't mind playing an adventure game like Zelda or an RPG like FF and looking at that section, even if spoilerish, to be sure I can get and see 100% of everything in a single playthrough if possible, without having to constantly follow the walkthrough to a T.  I screwed myself up in Chono Cross a few times, and there were many cards I missed in FF VIII.  Etc.  I shouldn't have to be unable to get things just because I decided to play a game for myself without chaining myself to a walkthrough.

Anyway, is there any way to change the last scent learned from whatever it is (medicine, I think) back to something else?  I want my last learned scent to be Ilia's.  >_>

Are you kidding?

After the first time we met Agitha, we immediately began calling her "The Bug Loli".
"OK, first we need someone to complain about something trivial. Golden or S_B should do. Then we get someone to defend the game, like Bill or Mashiro. Finally add some Unclebob or Pro666 randomness and the thread should go to hell right away." -Pap64

Ha ha ha, yeah that was a great part, Caliban.  She did strike me as young, but 10?  I figured she was a teenager based on her appearance.  Of course, I never knew Ariel (Little Mermaid) was 16, either.  Artists are pervs.  *goes off to draw more DOA Xtreme girls*
