I still think that there are too many greedy bastards in today's society. And especially when Sony put out so little units that it made people resort to primal violence just to get a system. Or not even that when robbers just take advantage of the systems and shoot innocent people who braved it out in the cold and night just to get something they want to get.

Kinda makes me wonder if the same thing will happen in the Wii launch...

True, the "hype" is smaller for the Wii and it will have far more consoles, but that doesn't mean the batsh*t crazy people will be on the prowl at the midnight launches.

This is so stupid and horrible.  I said it somewhere else, but if the Wii lineups are anything like this...even remotely, I'm not bothering.  It's just a game system.

Is should go join one of these huge lineups and walk in and buy "ALF" season 1.  "What, you mean YOU guys aren't here for ALF?"
