Which is the best console to get Timesplitters 2 on. I have a PS2 and a GC and I dont really care which one I get it for. So any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanx.

If you'd use the system link feature, get the PS2 version, otherwise get the GameCube version.

For ME i'd have to say GC, because the Ps2 controller F's up my hands!!!
Seriously, the grip is too small for me. The way the analog sticks are positioned I have to angle my thumbs down. I'm not knocking the ps2 to be a moron, this is the truth. I went over to a friend's, who has a ps2, house and my hands hurt for days afterwards. Also, I'm left handed and that seems to be an advantage for GC users, considering the controll stick is on the left side.

Ummm... the PS2 uses the left control stick too.

Anyway, I find that the PS2 controller is more comfortable.  The GC's non-symmetrical sticks feel "off" to me, so I prefer the PS2 control better where both sticks are in the same place.  SIZE: I don't notice any difference...both have the same size handles and fit my hands exactly the same.

Why do people like you make statements when you are completely *clueless* about reality?  I just looked at the rear of my PS2 Timesplitters2 disc.  It says "4 players" maximum.

Ok....

PS2:  4 players if you have 2 PS2s, 4 controllers, and 2 TVs in the same room.
GCN:  4 players with 1 GCN, 4 controllers, and 1 TV.

Actually you need ONE multitap, and yes they do make them for PS2.

Anyway, since the two versions are identical in every other respect, buy the one that you can find for cheapest

Just a silly thought, if one was to make the same thing for the cube/xbox, it would be crazy. but I doubt many games would support it though. Sort of like right now with the PS2 having poor multi support for anything above two players. I supose there is no linkie on this?

Yeah you have to buy extra stuff for the PS2 to make it 4 players, but who cares which one you buy.  If you can only find PS2 version, get it.  It's by far the best FPS to date yo, too many multiplayer options.  I don't play it right now, but I might just start back up.

I can't see why you had so much trouble getting a copy of timesplitters 2, hell I wasn't even in the right country to get it at the time (I import through a friend).  I am basing it off the assumption that you don't live in a hole.

The number of options found don't trump that of PD. PD bots have far greater flexablity. But TS 2 does have the Map maker blancing it out. But! in comparison to this generation, yeah it does hae the most options.

For FPS's I find the XBox controller to be the best. GameCube is the best all around. PS2 is a brick, and I think it is awfully ignorant of Sony to consider it's controller "good enough".

i have played both, mine i bought for gamecube
and my friend's for ps2.

the only differences:
gamecube has slightly better graphics

gamecube 4 player without buying a multitap

personally i find the gamecube controller to be better
(and yes i do own a ps2 as well)
it's perfectly molded ergonomically to the shape of your hands
while the ps2 controller is not built ergonomically, and you find
your hands moving around slightly while playing games for the ps2
.

And wavebirds... mmm...

The GC can handle the particle effects in the game (which there are many!) better than the PS2 version.  The controller works well for the way the game is set up (thanks to the large shoulder buttons), and if you want to play with 4p, the system can handle the extra users better than the ps2, too.

But other than that, the games are the same.  If you really like the dual shock controller over the gc controller, you probably want the ps2 version.

Regarding finding it:  I went to 5 different stores (big stores) before I found it in a small EB in a mall.  Their last copy, too.  You may want to call around to the different stores to ask if they have it, though, before you drive all over the place in frustration.  The phone is your friend!

Barring that, just get it online.  It's all over the web.
