I can't believe I overlooked this but is anyone else shocked there has been no announcement of Mario Party 9 for this winter?

Further proof that Nintendo is abandoning the core franchises...

As if anyone would really mind if Mario Party disappeared off the face of the Earth...

I was being sarcastic, but you know some rabid fanboy would use Mario Party as a franchise Nintendo is forgetting.

Thinking about this I expected Mario Party 9 to be announced next year, with the confirmation that it will use motionplus. Or, it could be announced sometime in the fall, to be released next year.

Like I already explained, I was being sarcastic. I am well aware that the Mario Party series is one of those series fans want to see disappear for a bit. But with the constant paranoia of Nintendo abandoning its own franchises it would be funny to see fans say "where's the next Mario Party game OMG NINTENDO SUCKS!!!".

Double-Dash was praised during the fuss over Mario Kart Wii, so don't count anything out.

Mario Kart 64 had the best set of tracks of any Mario Kart, though MK Wii gave it a run.

They were the best? I don't understand. Boring and long = best?

Mario Kart 64 was basically showoffing the new console hardware. "LOOK HOW LOOOONG WE CAN MAKE THESE TRACKS!!"

The only thing that was even remotely interesting was the Battle Mode and even only two levels were decent.

There's no reasoning with idiots.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I'm pretty sure vudu is parodying Dasmos' post from the other thread, so I wouldn't take it too harshly... =)

(I agree that Block Fort is incredibly awesome...)

lol, I was going to reply with the same post as vudu in this thread too, but then realised it was a pretty harsh thing to post. I was going to edit my post in the other thread, but you had already replied, so I figured you would have already read it and so I left it.
