I've heard that Sony's new awesome game with guns is coming out soon, but who effing needs it? I have Red Steel!! And that new adventure game for PC? Gah, I get a Zelda game every three years, and Nintendo's generous to release one even that often! And what about that really artsy Xbox game? Well, Nintendo does artsy games all the time. I'll just sit here, wait for those ones to come out, and berate everyone who plays games on other systems because, after all, Nintendo does it better.

I mean there are no artsy games on Xbox, Gun games on PS2 or adventures on PC. Should be PS2, PC and Xbox.

I think Evan is just sore about the Shadow of the Colossus thread and the Gears of War thread in the Other Systems board.

As for the topic, I'm personally excited for GoW, but not sure how long I'll have to play it, given that I am more looking forward to the Wii.

Until Katamari, Guitar Hero, and games like Kingdom Hearts comes to Nintendo expect many people playing on PS3/PS2, 360, and PC.

Is it me or wasn't there rumors about all three coming to a Nintendo system, probably just wishful thinking on my part...

GH2 is coming to Wii for some serious Wiitar action.

Katamari, not sure, but since Square is providing less and less support for Sony all the time and more and more support for Nintendo, there is a great deal of speculation that KH might go Wii.

Guitar Hero was never confirmed for the Wii. They said that they will bring it to other consoles, but so far the only console that is getting GH is the XBOX 360.

Katamari's creator is a dick towards Nintendo. I don't remember the interview exactly, but he was being arrogant about Nintendo. Plus, instead of going with the DS he went PSP. So there is a good chance that Katamari won't be appearing on any Nintendo console (then again, the series overstayed its welcome).

Kingdom Hearts has already graced a Nintendo console, so sooner or later the series will come to the Wii, whether as full blown sequels or remakes (Frankly, I would remake KH 1, Chain of memories and KH 2 for the Wii using the motion sensor). KH is also one of Square's pillar franchises and Final Fantasy and Dragon quest are already heading for the Wii, so a KH game will come at one point.

I am so over Katamari Damacy. Everyone should definitely play it once as it is rather magical on that first playthough, but after that, not so much. Plus, Keita Takahashi, the dude who made the first one and the second one (he had nothing to do with the one for PSP) no longer makes games, period. He's designing playgrounds and t-shirts now.

I heard D3's bringin' over the Simple Series to Wii which means games where you slide your hand up and down the Wii controller and hey I bet you can't buy that for the Ultra 64 Super CD Project Reality.

The hand waving about Shadow of the Colossus/Ico being overrated hits me alot harder than the lack of enthusiasm for Gears of War. Of course, if Gears of War were coming to Wii, there wouldn't be anywhere near as much hate...but it's really not the kind of game your average Nintendo fan gets excited over (myself included).

It's sad that alot of Nintendo fans can't appreciate good games on other systems. But, I can relate. I, too, used to put down any game that didn't appear on a Nintendo system. When I was 12.

Pshaw. I put down Ico because I didn't like it, not because it's a PS2 game. I wouldn't say I hate it, either. I don't have that level of emotional involvement in it. I just thought it was essentially a single Zelda dungeon with several questionable design decisions. What if it had been released on Gamecube? Well, there are plenty of Gamecube games I wouldn't touch with a ten foot Wiimote, so that doesn't change anything. What if it had been made by Nintendo? That's harder to answer because I think some of the design choices would have been different, judging by experience with many Nintendo and non-Nintendo games. If it had turned out exactly the same, I still wouldn't have liked it. I've hated first party Nintendo games before. There's plenty of evidence that other Nintendo fans have done so, too, all over these forums. Either way, it's still way too short to be worth most of the praise heaped on it.
