For anyone who was wondering, it's basically a Mario Golf MMOG: add in leveling up, a shop, online play, and some illegal outfits and that's the game.

Also, this is proof that the Wii version HAS to be online. Without the online component, the game doesn't have anything going for it.

Nup, Wii Pangya is not online. Instead it has more characters available at start, and adventure mode, and unlockables that don't require actual money. I wish it had online though =(

Pangya is indeed awesome, although I haven't played in a while. Hopefully PGCers are cool enough to like the game and we can play together

Well I would but, for some weird reason, I've never gotten into video golf...

I tried playing both Mario Golf and Toadstool Tour but they failed to capture me as Mario Tennis has.

I just don't feel like playing any golf game.

Ack, not online?

From everything I've seen, the whole appeal of the game is online play. Subtract that and you have Mario Golf without the Mario universe, but with jailbait caddies.

And what's wrong with that? With Mario people would complain that Mario is overused.

It's nothing new, and like I said, the whole point of the game is that it turns golf into an MMOG.

It's basically neutered without that.

Its good that its not a direct port, but I would have love to have seen Online play. I'm a bit disapointed right now... Oh well maybe the sequal will have online play.

I did some reading into why there was no Online play and it seems like one reason could be that Tecmo didn't get the dev kit for WiiConnect24 till 6 months into the development of the games (Sounds like a problem alot of other Developers had) and they desided to focuse on a Singel player mode more cause of that reason. There will be multiplayer mode in the game and they have said that the game is much differnt from the Online version and that this verion is about getting people to play differntly but in the fun world of Pangya (Almost sounds like this could have been turned into DoA Xtream Golf if they wanted to). They are looking into putting downloadable content for the game so thats cool.

Based on interviews I do have alot of hope that Pangya 2 will have Online play.

I was disapointed for a bit, but after reading the interviews I'm back to being very excited about it.

Online play was talked about being added in by download after it came out not too long ago so I'm not counting it out yet

Without online play, I'll borrow it from a friend if I want to try it. If it gets online play, I might buy my own copy if I like the gameplay.

No one is buying this game to play online, they are buying it because of the cute characters!

(Oh, and I guess because of the awesome gameplay, too...)

You see more lolis online than you do offline.

Offline, you have the one you play as and your caddie.

Online, you have tournaments of four loli players, four loli caddies. That's 16 different lolis in the span of five minutes, all different outfits, that clocks in at 3.2 LPMs.

You can't argue with 3.2 Lolis per minute. Don't even try.
