Topic: Hey, I need some advice.

My mom gave me $150 for being a national acheivement semifinalist. So now I got to decide how to spend it. I'm thinking of either getting a black DSL because it's more portable and the hinge on my DSPhat is broken or saving it for the Wii launch.

So, what do you think I should do?

Well, that depends on what's more important to you, I suppose. Personally, I'd save for the Wii, because, come Novemeber, broken or not, I'd still have the ability to control my games with a stylus, but not the ability to control my games by waving my arms around.

I just can't play Star Fox Command on my old DS, so it's a good investment if you have a lot of DS games. However, if that delays your purchase of a Wii, I am against it.

Go for the Wii, it comes out in like 60 days. By then there could be a rumor on a DSL price drop, but not bloody likely.  Wii!!

You could donate your money to someone for buying a community PS3 that you can enshrine and share in the middle of your neighborhood on its pedestal with its 108" plasma.  There you go ShyGuy.

I did well on the PSAT last fall. There are 3 different awards given out: National Merit (for whites and asians), National Acheivement (for african americans) and another for hispanics. I don't remember what the last one was called.

I know it's still a great accomplishment and all but it sort of diminishes the whole impact because it splits them all up into a smaller pools. On the flip side I didn't even now they gave awards.

Hopefully you'll get a scholarship from it.  Let me tell you something I learned the hard way.  You High School grades means squat to get a scholarship compared to your ACT and SAT.  Ace those and you have it made. (Plus take all of the advance placement courses you can.)
