Higurashi Daybreak
« on: August 17, 2006, 09:27:18 AM »
Third person shooter with cute anime chicks. Last option on the left is a download for the demo. I've been told it plays like Virtual On. Since I never played that I'd say this plays a lot like Gotcha Force without the collecting aspect and a slightly different victory condition.

It's an official action game derived from Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni.

Yep, I'm posting another thread about another game that will probably be ignored again.

Higurashi is so depressing!  It was hard to stomach the first five episodes...

(That said, I'm totally downloading this demo, laugho...)

Yeah, I've seen a few eps and decided I'd rather watch something like Pani Poni Dash or Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge (or Himawari, wasn't there some group supposed to be subbing that?). Does it get better later on?

Well the series is broken down into multiple (I believe there are four "question" chapters and four "answer" chapters) stories (as the games are)...The later "answer" chapters begin to explain everything towards the beginning, so if that's your definition of "getting better" then sure!  (I'm personally only up to Episode 8 [second story]...)

I also played the demo last night and it was pretty fun...I did have some framerate issues and annoying camera glitches at times, though...

SUPER SMASH LOLIS!
