I picked all those up.  Which do you think should get my time first.  I like to do a level in each and then I'm going to settle into B G&E because it needs to go back.  Any tips for a first timer in these?

I'd do Eternal Darkness last.  It has a lot of atmosphere (some say that's all it has) and really demands that you take your time while playing.  I haven't played Rayman 3, but according to Smash Bro it's a short game, but fun.  Viewtiful Joe is great if you like punishment.  It also has a lot of replay value (you unlock additional fighters after you beat the game) so it might be worthwhile to play that first so you can play it again after you beat the others.  BG&E is also really good, but short.  Don't feel a rush to return it though; like I said, I haven't touched it since I beat it so I'm not in a hurry to get it back.

I had to give up on VJ out of frustration and repititous gameplay(playing the same level over and over and over and over and over again because I kept dying). I can't get past the level that you are in the building, I get to the end of the level everytime but I die. I will revisit this game at a later date, but for now I don't need the stress.

BG&E was a great game, and while I wouldn't neccessarily call it short(I took my time trying to collect all the pictures), it definately ended before I felt I was done playing the game. Play this after the insanely difficult(but fun) VJ.

PN03..... played the demo, saw nothing worth playing there, spin, shoot, spin, shoot, spin, shoot. atleast thats how the demo played.

Eternal Darkness... This game was good for the atmosphere and the story telling. the control could've used some work, but I did manage to beat it 3 out of 4 times and I got bored somewhere in the 4th run through(gotta beat all four colors).  I would save this one for last, not because its the best(I would give that to BG&E), just because this is the one that would probably take up the most time.

Rayman 3.... never played it, actually haven't played Rayman since his outing on the N64 oh so many years ago. I will pick this one up as soon as I see it in the $20 or less bin.

All those where less than 20 each.  PN 03 the little I played is different then the demo.  BG&E takes to much memory.  Rayman has been fun.  Haven't put in Eternal Darkness yet.

Yeah, BG&E takes up a lot of space on the memory card.  It's all those pictures, I think.

I bought Rayman 3 sometime in 2003 for $20.  Played through it once, and that was it.  Never went back to it, for some reason.  I liked Rayman 2 better.

I got stuck in the same level of Viewtiful Joe as BNM, and just traded it on a website for Fire Emblem, which I think was an awesome deal.

ED is another game I never went back to.  Beat it once, and that was it.  Way overhyped, in my opinion.

You mean Level 2?  That's like getting suck in Desert Land in SMB3.  ... And you call yourself a gamer.

Play Rayman 3 when you're in the mood for TONS of platforming, and I mean assloads. The game starts a bit slow, but it picks up and rapidly becomes more about hardcore platforming the further in you go.

Its after you fight the multiple Helicopters and you are in the building with all the rooms. And you have to get through the hall way that shoots fire and stuff at you... is that level 2? if so then

besides I get distracted really easily and tend to give up even easier when I know I have another new game to play.

i too gave up on VJ. i think it was the shark boss i couldnt get passed... atleast, thats the last thing i remember. wait, which comes later the shark boss or the i dont remember if this is realy a spoiler, but that guy that looks like joes clone... i dont remember the story for beans....??? i just remember there being a boss i couldnt get passed and after trying for a week i gave up and gave the damn game back to a friend.

hm while we're on the topic if suggesting games. i saw From Russia with Love real cheap at my local retailer, as well as XIII. i've been doing not hing but playing animal crossing (started over after two years of not playing) on my cube and im looking for some new-old games that i missed out on. are either of those two any good? because their pretty cheap... the 007 game didnt even come out that long ago and im sure it was listed as a new copy, not a used one, so i was worried about the low price. although, i did pick up geist and metroid prime to for 8.98 each at a toys r us once so ... i dont know what to think..

any suggestions??

$12 for Wind Waker new at Kmart.  I picked it up for my brother.  Theres $12 dollar of play in their.  (Thats about 25% which happens to be about as much of the game that has nothing to do with water.)

I also gave up in the middle of VJ. I don't know where, exactly. Sometime after Another Joe. I was finding it challenging, but addictive. Then I got distracted by something. I tried to get back into it one day, but it had been so long I was sucking against easy stuff like the helicopter. Gotta try that again someday.

I'm in a similar situation with F-Zero GX. Although all the blame for my departure can be laid solely at the feet of the ass - hole who thought the save file not only needed to be un-copyable due to arcade unlockables, but also un-f*ing-moveable. Asshole.

VJ2 however... has some of the most retarded puzzles ever.

Whatever you do, don't start playing P.N.03 or VJ in easy mode.

Pro: Yes but after that, do you prefer to dodge until he's dizzy or just slomo and zoom-uppercut him? Zoom uppercuts seem to do more damage per phase, at least on easy where your VFX energy is abundant. I've found dodging to take way too much effort and the period after that is pretty short.

Then I suppose there's something fundamentally wrong in your approach or execution.  You'll have to see the video as well.
