In the next week or so if my posts look messy it's because I'm going to try to make the switch fromw Qwerty to Dvorak.

Why? I'm sure changing to Dvorak shouldn't change the level of quality in your posts, it should just take a little longer to reach the same quality.

The switch has started out interesting.  I never realized that I barely used my pinky in Qwerty.  It now hurts from use.

Dvorak allows you to type much faster. It's far more natural. QWERTY was actually intentionally designed to slow you down because typewriters would jam if you typed too fast.

We should start a Dvorak club. I've been using it a couple years now. I type faster, but that probably owes more to the fact that I never cared to become efficient with Qwerty. The bigger factor for me is that it's far more comfortable to use Dvorak. Less figer movement, therefor less fatigue.

How are you learning? I used some typing program I can't recall (like being in 3rd grade again, sans the game where you shoot at the other vehicle... with the power of words). I also printed out the alphabet plus punctuation, and affixed them to the sides of my keys, for dual-layout de-confusion.

I have the onscreen keyboard and I'm using an online thing.  I'm only doing a little at a time because that is recommended.  Though I like to find and open source program to use.

QWERTY isn't designed for slow typing but it's designed to have the common letters near your stronger fingers since older typewriters were pretty exhausting to use.
