I think it has a reasonable chance of selling well and a near certainty of making Nintendo money and keeping them in the business even if it doesn't do much better than the Gamecube did.

I'm obviously going to buy one regardless - I want good games, I don't care whether I'm backing a winner or not and just what's been shown at E3 is enough to justify the purchase for me even if it bombs after release.

True, even if the only good games are Metroid, Mario and Zelda its more than worth the purchase.

Interesting that these are pretty much the same numbers Sony touts for the PS3...

Probably refelcts how many they think they can manufacture in time.

The hardware/software figures are also almost exactly what they forecasted for GameCube as well.

This puts the US price at $224 or less. I wouldn't mind seeing $224.99, or better still launch at $249.99 with a first party game of your choice.
