MGS4 and FFXIII. The PS3 is basically the Squeenix Kojima Box right now.

Is that worth $600, though?

And I just don't get how Kojima can be so goddamn adamant about seeing Snake into SSBB and yet not make any games for Nintendo's consoles (even Twin Snakes wasn't developed by Konami but by SK...)

Kojima wants to make movies, not games. That's why. Just watch the MGS4 trailer. He wants to be Akira Kurosawa.

Yeah, actually. Not to me personally, but you asked for system sellers.

I'm thinking Kojima might be regretting starting work on MGS4 for PS3 so early. They can't exactly port it over to another console, given that it's pretty much the most graphically intensive game on PS3 and thus one of the most reliant on its hardware structure. I guess he just assumed the PS3 would dominate like the PS2, which isn't looking so obvious right now.

There was this article where Kojima wanted to run away from MGS4 to develop for the Wii but of course he cant at the moment. From what Ive read it appears he really never wanted to make so many Metal Gear Solid games, thats probably why Snake is killing himself in this one.

Kojima: "I'd like to run away from MGS 4 creation and create something for the Wii but unfortunately, I don't have anything that I can announce at the moment.  I have lots of ideas for Wii but I have a heavy schedule with MGS 4 and Metal Gear Online."

...But as we've heard many times already, from Nintendo - Nintendo does not consider the Wii a competitor to the PS3 or XBox 360. If that is in fact true, why would they care if Microsoft were to do that to a Rare developed Virtual Console game? Of course we know that they do care, and the the Wii is competing, regardless of what they say or want us to believe.

I don't know what I'm going to do right now.  I'm not interested in XBox360 since I've never been a Halo fan, and at $600 the PS3 is no longer a high priority for me.  I love the Metal Gear Solid series, but the PS3 is going to have to show me more than that to make me want to buy it.

For those of you wondering about the system sellers are going to be for the PS3, they're going to be what they have been for EVERY Sony system since the beginning:

- A Metal Gear Solid game
- A Final Fantasy Game
- A Gran Turismo game
- A Ridge Racer game
- A Madden game
- A God of War game (eventually)
- A Burnout game (eventually)

I'm sure there are a couple of other titles we could throw in there too, like "Grand Theft Auto IV: The Same With Better Graphics and More Vehicles/Weapons".  Can't wait for that one.

People are gravitating towards the Wii because it's the only console that is truly different this generation.  The 360 and PS3 offer incremental improvements on the same formula, so there aren't any surprises any more.  And since the gaming public has already seen what HDTV gaming looks like on the 360, what the PS3 is doing is even more underwhelming.

Well, I wonder how the lack of force feedback affects some of those games.

It's funny. Sony has done something that Ian will hate a lot. They're throwing out the baby with the bathwater and excluding established features like rumble feedback to include a new unproven "sparkling innovationy" feature like tilt sensors.

Only Final Fantasy, GT and God of War are exclusive among those. The rest will appear on other consoles and maybe even the PC. A non-exclusive is hardly a system seller.
