"Two words for Nintendo fans-Uh oh."

^ That is what a lame ass G4 correspondent said upon Sony unveiling their controller.  I think I just threw up in my mouth.  Why can't people be impartial for once?  It's so obvious just by watching that toolbox play with it that the PS3 controller is nothing like the Wii controller.  What's so aggravating to me is I thought everyone, Sony fanboy or not would think it was a desperate and lame attempt to ride Ninty's hype.  Here's to hoping there aren't as many dumb people in this world as I think there are...

I think he meant "Uh oh the Nintendo fans are going to have a hard time getting ahold of a Wii once the general public sees what a lame rip-off this is."

Ugh. Is G4 THAT bad?

Fortunately, not all sites are biased against Nintendo. PC gamers expecially are mostly non-biased about consoles. Tom's Hardware Guide (a PC site) ran the headline PS3 controller looks a little wimpy against Nintendo's Wii.

This is exactly the response that I was expecting, which will trickle down from the idiotic media into everyone's ears. And what they'll hear is that the PS3 controller is just as capable, if not even more so, than the Wii Remote.

And they will believe it.

G4 is just not worth watching. You get the feeling that everyone on that station has about an IQ of 56. They assume that no one watching has the internet and they say things like, "We've got exclusive coverage! Here's the world premiere of the Halo 3 trailer! WE KNOW the launch date and price of the PS3!!" They pretend like they have inside information but actually know far less than any of us do. It's silly.

Go over to Gamespot and read the comments under the Nintendo conference blog.  Maddening and exactly what this dweeb on G4 said-they all are saying since the controllers are a wash, Sony ended up having a better conference...and nobody is correcting them!  This is the problem-people really think they're the same damn thing.

Ironically enough I think that MS had a more solid Pre-E3 conference then both Nintendo and Sony.  Sony's was just bad and contradicting.  Nintendo was good but not very solid.  MS wasn't great but it had everything in place.  Like a good cheeseburger and fries while Nintendo's was like eating at an expensive top ranked restraunt.  The atmosphere is good and it's enjoyable but the food lacks good substance.  (after looking this was the most relevant place for this and it's starting location.)  Sony was one of those Sit down restraunts in the middle.  Jack of all trade but master of none.

Funny, I've been saying the same thing, except when comparing the Wii to the PS3/360. They are the restaurants where the atmosphere, decor and presentation is great, but when it comes down to food, it just doesn't taste as good. Nintendo is a simple, yet classy, restaurant which has delicious food, and that's what really counts, right?

Those bastards at sony know what they are doing, thats why its easy to be concerned about Nintendo's marketing against sony's marketing, its not just the ads, those as$holes know how to move the audiences. ARGH I wish them painful deaths.

A lot of what I'm reading from idiots is "Nintendo shouln't have made the controller for every game!  Teh should have made it for just some like !Sony11!!!!"

I hate this whole universe right now, because I hate stupidity.

Early reports I've been hearing, and I hope they're juet hearsay: The PS3 controller works great. The Wii controller feels tacked on.

TACKED ON???

No matter what Nintendo does, they can NEVER win.

I know I've said it before. . . but I hate Sony.  So much.  They are the poison thorn penetrating my otherwise flawless soul.

Jerks.

PS: I hate even more the people who blindly accept every sh!tty thing they do with grins and thank yous, the same people who turn around and call us stupid for liking what Nintendo does.
It's a good thing I don't meet these people in real life, otherwise there'd be bloodshed.

The *Wii* has the "tacked on" motion? It was built from the ground up for it as feature #1.

Sony even admitted they'd had theirs going for just a few weeks.

I think I lost IQ points just reading that.

Eh. We saw this with the DS. There's no escaping anti-Nintendo bias, fanboyism, and stupidity. Eventually, though, Nintendo will be vindicated.

None of this will matter that much anyway when our grandpas are all playing with their Wiis.  Seriously, Nintendo still has to compete with the jokers at Sony, but if the non-gamer plan pans out, even if it has a chance of panning out, it will be for Nintendo, not for Sony, because Nintendo has built the system for non-gamers from day 1.  Sony's system will never appeal to that crowd because it has all the same flaws that previous systems did.
That's my opinion, not yours.

that's got to be some sony shilling...reviews I've seen so far say it is the opposite.  but I want to hear from regular folks on the floor too.  so far I've read that wiimote is 'pixel perfect', and dual-shite has a nice lag to it.

PS3 isn't going to really get around the lag.  If Memory serve Nintendo really couldn't with a much closer interface in the Gameboy series technology.  Not much but I remember it still being there, mind you it's been a while.  If Nintendo who is a dedicated game company with all of it's research going likewise can't make the lag totally unnoticeable Sony doesn't really have a chance with the same technology.  I just think it's a limit of that particular technology.
