Did you miss the B2G1 Free sale at TRU and Amazon.com last week?
Now you got a second third chance.

Best Buy is having a B2G1 sale (Oct 25- Oct 31). X360, PS3, Wii games, $59.99 or less

1.) TRU has a B2G1 free sale,
2.) Amazon.com matched it with their own B2G1 free sale.
3.) Best Buy is currently having a B2G1 free sale
4.) Amazon has decided to once again match it.

Amazon - Spend $80 get a $40 credit
PS3, 360 & Wii only
Quote
Spend $80 on select titles and receive a $40 promotional claim code usable towards a future Wii, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 game purchase. To qualify for the credit, you must check out with two or more eligible items in your cart. Only purchases from Amazon.com as the seller and made between October 26, 2009 and October 31, 2009 will qualify for this promotion. Only one (1) promotional claim code will be sent per household. Promotional claim code will expire at 11:59pm PST on 12/31/2009. The savings will not be messaged at checkout. Codes will be sent via email seven (7) business days after all items in the qualifying order have shipped. Restrictions apply.

If you knew how BB supposedly handles their B2D1 free sales, you would see that all Amazon did was copy it exactly.

Best buy lets you get 3 games and then spreads the cost amongst all the games.
instead of
1st game = $60, 2nd game = $60, 3rd game = FREE (totaling $120 spent)
they do
1st game = $40, 2nd game = $40, 3rd game = $40 (totaling $120 spent)

Not sure I'm following you.  From what I see, Best Buy still has the better deal.  If you buy 3 60 dollar titles at BB, you spend 120.  If you buy 3 w/ the Amazon deal, you spend 140.  120 will get you the 40 dollar credit and using the 40 dollar credit on your 3rd 60 dollar titles leaves you with 20 extra you have to pay.

In addition, you can pick up 3 20 dollar titles at BB for 40 bucks.  Can't do that with the Amazon deal.  The only "match" is you can spend 80 dollars at both stores to pick up 3 games w/ an msrp of $40.

And what the hell Amazon, every system but the PSP is eligible, the ONLY system I need games for at the moment?!

I was saying that if you took their process for making the receipt, dividing the price of the $60 games evenly between the 3 titles, then that is what Amazon copied.

I never said which one would work out better for you, or which is the better deal, because you could work either deal into your favor.

I could get a $50 wii game and a $30 wii game and get my $40 credit towards a future 3rd game.
or I could get 4 $20 games and a $40 credit from amazon towards a full price game.

You said they "matched" it.  But they didn't.  They came up with a completely different deal.  Different eligible games, different discount, and no immediate pay off.

Oh well.

Then I explained at the bottom of the post.
they matched Best Buys technique, I never said it worked out the same.
Thats the whole reason I attempted to explain it in the first place, because it wasn't the same.

You should slap yourself in the forehead for even attempting to argue against what is explained to you in the  original post. It's not that difficult to understand that they copied the technique and not the result. That is why I explained in the first place.

Do you really think I would have explained it at all if it were exactly the same thing? I obviously wanted to clarify the difference, so why would I waste my time (like I am arguing with you) to do that if there wasn't a reason?

If u copy somthing but completly change it, then u didn't copy anything. In you OP u tried to explain how the deal was the same in spite of it appearing different.  But the numbers just don't work. Sheesh. Just admit you were wrong n move on what's the big deal yo?

I explained how they copied the BB method of spreading the cost. I'm done arguing with you. If you want to pick part of the post to focus on and not take it all in as it's presented, then that's on you. I'm sure everyone else understood what I was explaining and the reason I explained it at all. DO NOT REPLY AGAIN.

What is with your never ending quest to be the most annoying poster here getting into stupid arguments over things you don't seem to understand. STOP IT.

Looks like a solid title, but I'm not a huge FPS dude, and I still need to finish Bad Company.  Shame Shame.

Word on the street is, pre CAG:

"Gamestop running their B2g1 next week
A good friend of mine who's a GS GM told me yesterday that they're running their b2g1 next week. She didn't say if it was for the week or just the weekend, but it's up next in this wonderful string of b2g1.

edit: for the inevitible is it on new or used games question; GS's b2g1 is ALWAYS used only."

Power to the playas!

Does Amazon sell used games directly?

Good question.  I think they're just building up inventory for the time being, who knows.

I hope Walmart joins in on the fun and gets Amazon to do some sort of B2G1 free sale 5 weeks in a row, assuming GS gets Amazon to go 4 weeks in a row,

Amazon is doing "Spend 80 bucks get a 40 bucks off your next video game purchase"

I got Uncharted 2 and MGS4 for a total of 82 dollars.  Now I'll get 40 bucks to put towards New Super Mario Bros!
