Ahahaha, it's the like Cold War over here.  Nintendo's stocking up just in case they need to counter Sony's surprise launch.

Yeah.  But know that I've heard it it makes sense.  Also how long does it take to ship by boat from Japan to USA?  Also what is the shipping time to Europe.  Boat is suppose to be cheaper then air and can carry a vast amount of equipment.  That might say the compensation.  Ship by boat the consumer units.  Fly by air the developers and press units.  Give enough time that you can produce the unit count you need at roughly half the production speed because the plants are yet to be at full capacity.  By the time the product actually hits the other shore production should have the kinks out and greater yields.
