Ah, pictures, sugoooi! I knew the game was rumoured by the-magicbox.com a few weeks ago and I believed it to be true. The art-style and detail in the game looks awesome even if those are only scans.

Oh, Bill, One Piece is all about uniqueness, if you follow the anime/manga you know what I mean.

That doesn't look hand drawn to me, definitely a screenshot. You can see the polygons.

Oh, I'm definitely a One Piece fan...I mean I wish more developers used unique art styles in their games rather than boring "realistic" bullcrap... =D

That sounds like fun actually.  3 Sword Zoro.  3 Wiimote LOUiE.  Yeah, that would rule.

Thanks for the compliment but keep it mind: Zoro = french swordfighter vigilante type. Zolo = pirate hunting samuri.

That's Zorro...Zoro is the character's original name, but it was forced a switch here in America because of the trademark...

One Piece........pffft...that show is so lame...

I tried to watch it once (it comes on right before futurama and the boondocks) and I couldn't bare to watch it. The animation was placid and the story was weak.

Now Samurai Champloo, now there's an anime I can enjoy. The story (at least from what I've seen) is pretty episodic, but still, no one can argue with the action. Plus, and this is the best part, it doesn't take an episode for a battle to start.

What do you mean?

It looked very childish to me. Is it actually something very mature?

If those are actual real time graphics...

Finally, some graphics featuring the outdoors. The ginormous structure in the background looks good. The trees and grass look less so. From a technical standpoint, the characters look better than current-gen but still blocky. From an artistic standpoint, they look fantastic.

Though it's hard to fully judge with that scan.

I agree with wandering on this one, I'm also impressed by the artistic style and the huge environment around the character. I do hope that shot is a fairly good representation of what to expect from the look of the final game.

Yes One Piece is edited heavily for North America.  For example guns are digitally edited to be squirt guns and hammers.  The original isn't specifically targeted to an old audience but many can appreciate it.

Does anyone have any idea what kind of game this is?  It seems like possibly an action adventure but since its a manga game I want to put my money on fighting.

One Piece was heavily edited by 4Kids, examples: they didn't show a certain number of episodes critical to the plot, one of the characters has a lollipop in his mouth instead of a cigarette, etc...However the manga (published by VIZ) follows the original to precision except for Zoro's name.

Samurai Champloo was licensed by Geneon and they hardly did any editing, the only editing they did for TV was to take out the usual "sh!t" or any other swearing that a character uses.

About the game, Yeah it does look like an action-adventure style of game (as SixthAngel has mentioned) and I bet it is. Hopefully it might be shown at E3, even if only as footage.

Requiem, I recommend watching this scene to see what's in the original version of the show.  Even if you still dont like it, this will show you just how different the original Japanese version is from the awful 4Kids version.

Luffy vs Crocodile

*warning, this clip contains major spoilers for some One Piece fans if they haven't gotten to a certion point in the show yet*

Plus that scene would also relate to the game because could you all imagen using both controllers to do the Gomu Gomu no Storm like Luffy does in that clip.  Now that would be freakin sweet.
