Shadowgate wii

basically here is the concept of this thread, basically show off some interfaces and explain.

Shadowgate would controll like this. Everything is like an fps..untill you hold down one of the triggers..then it goes into this mouse like mode..and it lets you grab items...

Point and click belongs on the DS. Wii is about the future.

Nintendo decided that the reason the virtual boy failed is because they went with red...  They then realized that their most popular piece of hardware to date started out as green monochrome!  Genius!  So they decided to go with the same thing for the Wii.

Maybe when you're in point and click mode things go all green for some reason? So you know you're not in free motion mode?

Cool idea, but I would think we can do better than a simple menu based system. How about having the cursor be an icon of whatever action you happen to be doing (Defaults to look), then you can click the trigger to scroll through the various options.

Good idea either way though... has Kemco announced support for the Wii yet?

The archiac means of using a menu in Point 'n Clicks is pretty outdated...I don't see why you couldn't just perform actions in a more realistic manner...

well yeah, the bottom menu is almost not needed...however..it would be nice to switch 3d items to 2d items via a drop box for your inventory. Also, have that drop box hidden when your not grabbing new items....ooh that woulkd be awesome....

you grab an item off the table...all of a sudden a box pops up on the right of the screen that says goods...you can drag it the screen, or hold down one of the trigger buttons to equip it. Of course the menu's would be split up. as in resident evil 4. As in there are weopon items, notes, and key items.

I only spent a few minutes so they look kinda flat.

Traditional SHUMP, except you have more of a 45 degree angle view.  It lets you see the horizon, it also allows the game to move up and down as well as left to right.

This game would be controlled by the FHC (move it up/down to go to a higher/lower plane, left/right to move left/right, pull back on the controller to slow down or push forward to go faster).  The face button is weapon change and the bottom button is fire.

First person tennis game.  You move your player with the nunchauk, and use its tilt sensor to dive.  You control your swing with the FHC.  It matches the tilt of the controller (like guns in Red Steel) to determine the angle of the racquet, the velocity of your swing to determine power, then position of the FHC relative to a start to determine position of the racquet when you swing.

You COULD do two player split screen, but LAN/Internet play would be better suited.

The first person makes it hard, split screen could be confusing.
I could see doing co-op doubles on LAN or WiFi connection; but any sort of split screen could be pretty difficult to follow.

I suppose, but it would take something from the experience, considering your view of the action depends on where your character is standing.

How about badmitton? I like badmitton over tennis.
Also, when was the last time you played a badmitton game?

if it was sort of a third person view, multiplayer would be much easier to do.

tennis/badminton games don't have to be first person, and they can give us soem slack with the timing

though I would expect a hell of a lot of detail in that badminton game. you can do some sick stuff with badminton racquets.
I'll shut up now...

I know, but making it in first person would be a unique perspective that the Wii could do like no other game before it.
