recently got a gba sp imported from hong kong & have just noticed a few dust particles behind the screen!
aagghh. has anybody come across this problem? dont want to open up my machine to get rid of these, one of the main reasons i got an sp was because my afterburner gba had lot's of dust particles on the screen.

I would advice against doing that. I don't know if you put the after-burner in your GBA yourself or not but if you haven't believe me it's about impossible to remove the dust. As soon as you wipe the dust away more will get in there so it becomes an endless vicious cycle. Not to mention it's not a good idea to wipe the LCD screen since you'll probably get smears on it that are very hard to remove. I've never imported so I don't know how much of a pain in the ass it would be to send the SP back but you may have to do that.

Oh yeah there is a big thread on this is another forum.

Sorry I guess you need the insider thing to read it. If you don't have it I will just summarise for you that most people seem to be deciding to put up with the problem, although if you have more than one area effected you might be able to return it. Worth a try anyway.

Um, I hope it's ok to link to another forum, just trying to help.

Y'know I thought I could initially see some dust particles in my SP, but it turned out to be a trick of my eyes putting 2 dust particles on the surface into the background. I haven't seen any dust after that.

Hey, since you guys have the SP tell me how it feels when you hold it. I have big hands and despite that most people with big hands seem to prefer the GBA's design I never liked it. Since you are basically holding the thing with your fingers only mine would cramp up after a few minutes of play. I have never really like the old GB's design either so I am a little concerned about the SP.
