The little comments the guy made during the video just made my day.

And I thought the PS2 was bad. No wonder people don't use their PSPs for games.

I'd deduct those 28 seconds for slow menu navigation. Of course that's being generous but hell, it's still not a big factor.

Obviously he chose an option that would yield the maximum load times (having a number of intro cutscenes befoe the match begins) but one minute to main menu was already bad enough.

And I think he could have chosen a piece of music that would NOT have to loop every minute.

Agreed.  Fair is fair.  He did not play an exhibition match.  The loading times were way too long, but had he played an exhibition match (which is more on-the-go than starting up a new story mode) then we'd have seen something more palatable.

30 seconds is too long. 1 minute is unacceptable. 6 minutes is...out...of the f*cking question.

annoying music, interesting video. was kind of like a ponro.
DS is king of the castle.
Silly monkeys; give them thumbs they make a club and beat their brother down. How they survive so misguided is a mystery. Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability to lift an a eye to heaven conscious of his fleeting time here.

Simply ridiculous. A friend of mine has this racing game (Midnight something, I can't recall) for the PSP and he also complains about the loading time but then he goes "oh but I've got this wicked car" and I'm "so what? you've got a moronic loading wait-time!".

Custom characters / Season Mode is what apparently takes the most time, due mainly to the number of load cycles.  However, a quick match would likely take 1 - 2 min to load from main menu to match (the flash video would imply roughly 1 min 30 sec).  Boot to main menu was 1 min 20 sec.  So *at least* two and a half min for a "quick match"
