Obnoxiously cute, but the visuals don't seem THAT good...

Granted, it's not a 1st party title, but the jagged lines are all too noticeable.

EDIT: Never mind. That's the PC version in the screens.

"Publishing for the Rev is just a step away from developing from the Rev."

Hell I'd almost consider publishing the more important one.  Nintendo's ideas for attracting third parties with the Cube and the Rev are developer based - the hardware is easy to use and has unique features and stuff.  That plan has always had a big flaw in that developer opinion means squat because publishers make the call regarding support.  It's good that Tecmo is publishing the game because they're basically saying "we feel we can make money from this" and that's REALLY GOOD.  Too often with the Cube it was like the exclusive games were made on the whim of an eccentric game designer and there was never any goal of providing serious support from the publisher.  "Let's let Mikami make his game on the Cube and then once he's done with that BS we can get him working on something that will make us some REAL money or if his Cube game is great we'll port it to the PS2 without his consent."

Oh, and I'll put $1000 on this game storming the Japanese market upon release.

No takers? I thought so.

it seems that tecmo isnt actually just publishing this title. from an article at gamespot:

"The company's first project will be a Revolution version of Korean publisher Ntreev Soft's Pangya golf series, which will be codeveloped by the two companies"

a good golf simulator could definately sell some revolutions. it seems like those virtual golf centres are getting pretty popular, as real golf gets more and more expensive to play.

I doubt it will sell more than 5,000 copies. But hey, it could be good, I really have no idea, i'd buy it if it uses the Revolution controller well.

Also wasn't there a Revolution blog that mentioned that a ban was lifted one the 14th actually so, that could be why we have a lot of news coming.
Oh really? Would you happen to know which blog this was?

The game's graphics remind me of Flyff, which even uses the same business model (free game and playing, money made from selling costumes and other stuff).

Also, the ads on the sidebar of that Pangya page linked to this, which I guess sells some suff Bill would like.

It's in one of the earlier threads on the board.  I think it was Rev something or another.  He was the one that said stuff about ON and other things.  Had an interview with another guy on the last I saw it.  I thought it was February sometime around 14-16.  I could be wrong though.

I thought the reason we were getting lots of news was just because of the DS conference.  This is the only Rev game I've heard about.

Looks kind of interesting, if it's available at launch it might sneak its way into my collection.
That's my opinion, not yours.

In this case, the gameplay is irrelevant.

This game will sell in Japan for the same reason the DoA volleyball game sold: sex.

The might as well just title it "Hawt Loli Golf" and be done with it.

I think it would be very cool to have Costumes won in online tournaments, and throughout the single game experience.  Buying Customes isn't a good idea, unless they already have costumes you can earn throughout the game, and the new costumes are just additional bonuses that aren't needed.  But if they start adding characters and such to buy, I think that is going too far.

And, why are people actually comparing the graphics of the PC game like it IS the Revolution game.  These screenshots are obviously not the Revolution game.  We are just looking at the graphics getting an idea about what the game looks and feels like.

I didn't know until I checked that it wasn't Rev shots.

I'd imagine the Rev would be much better. Also, since Nintendo is pressing so hard to keep it under wraps, I doubt we'd see leaked shots out of Tecmo.

Is there something I should know about Bill?

I'm guessing he likes lolicon or something.

Unless it's exclusive to the Xbox now or something, I still say it would sell better as a DoA golf game.  I'm not a DoA fan but I'm sure using an established franchise would be better.  It wouldn't be Ninja Gaiden, of course, though.

I doubt that Team Ninja would agree to the DoA license being applied to a golf game...

This might seem like an odd place to ask this.  But do we have any girl regulars?  I mean it really doesn't matter that much.  Just sort of curious.
