The cool future game
« on: February 06, 2006, 10:19:15 AM »
ok it is the year 2049, cars are outdated(sorry rush fans).  You see in the year  2020 Walter Barbera invented cold fusion.  This was a tremendous day for mankind  because it ended the use of gas  powered cars poluting the atmosphere, as well as the polution caused by burning coal. Electricity  became free.

However water became very expensive. Unfortunately, the world was over-populated. By 2032 the great water war killed millions.

Then came an even greater invention then cold fusion  in 2040.  Scientist discovered a way to open dimentional  rifts and travel from one side of the universe to  the other. In  order  to  do  this  they needed to create  gateways and  charge them up,  they  need  a  tremendous  amount of power to  run,  but  thankfully  cold  fusion took care of it. They created  a  clean,  safe and easy way to travel. For the first 2 years people  could  travel from city  to  city,  from  country to country in an instant.  It  became  so simple that  people had  these  machines  installed in their closets.

Within a few years many countries merged because it was very conveniant. The United States, the UK, Canada,  Austrailia merged  to form the Pan Global Federation.  Spain and Mexico also  merged,  as well as several  South American states.  Basically  countries that spoke the  same language  became  one. The  European  Union Solidified(however with  the UK leaving),  and eventually a form of sign language  was taught  to all children in  Europe so that everyone  could  speak with one  another. The Middle  East,  some  African  countries all formed  similar unions.

After some spacecraft arrived on Mars..containing RiftDoors, the  planet was  quickly terraformed. Every  country staked  out some land and built  some  colonies.

Anyways,  your  job is to create a  colony on a planet.....and decribe how it functions.

I set up some cardboard boxes in an area filled with bottomless pits and jagged rocks. You can basically do anything you want with the cardboard boxes, life is successful!

The only thing less likely to happen would be me falling in love with MS =)
